Conversation histories

Rookie question guys, apologies. But what's the story with all conversation histories vanishing? Is there a certain amount of time they're there, or is it if you're not online or what's the craic? It's a bit of a pain in the hole

Yeah they vanish after a few months

Although ye can save messages if ye like

Plus if a profile has been deleted, any message thread with them will also disappear

Yes recently happened to me when I didn't log in for two months. All my chats were deleted I came back to a empty inbox.
