There was a chat on here before about a hiking group meeting up, did it ever go ahead? It was in the dublin/wicklow area

We did one hike here in Cork a few weeks ago. Two people turned up but we had a real nice hike with coffee and chat afterwards. (Every journey starts with a single step)

Not sure if any other group got to walk.

Might look at getting it going properly here after Christmas.

From the level of interest shown in the original hillwalking threads Santa may be bringing hiking boots, rainproof jackets and backpacks to some lucky fabbers.

The Dublin/Wicklow hike is happening in January sometime. I'm sure a thread will go up for that nearer the time so keep an eye out for it on the forums.

I thought it wasn't going ahead till after Christmas? I have to be more active in groups it seems

The walk a few weeks back was just a test run. And it went well so hopefully things might take off properly after Christmas.
