questions for you folks.

If you had some spare time and wanted to do some charity work, what type of work would you do?

I feel like I could be doing something helpful for people in need

Last year at christmas, my daughter and me made up food parcels, loaded them into bags and went for a walk around, anybody we seen sleeping rough we offered them, most took them. Plan on doing it again this year

I would likely help with a cancer or stroke or asthma charity. Lost family to each of these (before someone decides to make a smart comment about asthma I lost my sister of two and a half to an asthma attack during the night in the late 70s)

What I would do I have no clue.

it would be nice to have it linked to a personal reason alright

somewhere

I'm a volunteer for a charity called Alone

Once a week I spend a few hours in an older mans house that had a stroke a few years ago and has no family....we usually watch the football on Sky or all the quiz shows on BBC

I also do the dinners for the homeless and elderly on Christmas day in the RDS

Both give me enormous satisfaction and indeed has brought back the magic of Christmas since my kids are adults now

So I'd recommend Alone if you can spare 2 or 3 hours a week

Alone sounds lovely. I must check that out.

I'd like to get involved in an animal charity too but I think I'm too soft

You could also become an animal foster, we foster kittens. And for us, we are helping those with no voice.

But at the end of the day, the best charity starts at home, you could bless a family that you know with a full fridge or things like that.
