It seems that most people are afraid to find out their next door neighbours are swingers, afraid or embarrassed or whatever it might be. My question is, why? What is the issue with it as long as you behave like adults. Isn't it great to know that there's people around you who like sex as much as you do and have kinks just like you do.

Please note that I am referring to genuine fabbers/swingers. Not the creepy dreamers you see around on fab.

Because unfortunately some people are indiscreet and can't wait to gossip to others especially after a few drinks.

When you're living in a rural location then being a swinger is the worst thing in the world

We know swingers in our community (and they know we swing too) but we keep a wide berth, it just makes life easier.

I think a lot of people love to gossip. I know a few where we live definitely do. I'll give you an example. Dee met with a guy for a social a few months ago in a local busy enough pub. Completely innocent looking nothing bold happened. Within two days there's rumours going around she's cheating on me.

Now while I knew of the social etc and I honestly don't really care about what people say some people do care about what others say and think. Some have reputations to maintain etc.

That's absolutely true but I don't believe that true swingers would do that. I could be wrong of course but I think those who can't shut their mouths would be mostly single needy guys who think an account on fab equals instant fuck.

Some people think that by talking about others it makes them look better. Unfortunately that's not the case it just makes them look like the wannabes they are. For us nothing happens outside of where we are comfortable at so that cuts down on the gossip

I just think my sex life is no one's business and it's at my discretion who I disclose any information about it.

This True Swinger thing doesn't scan. Swingers are just normal people who fuck outside of their relationship. They have all the same foibles as the rest of us and some people do like to gossip and some like to stir shit and other people outside of that might just be conservative and swinging doesn't fit into their comfort zone.

It's very easy to say that we are all adults but the fact is that all being adults means recognising that everyone is different and no one has to be cool with your shit.

What's the link between being needy and not understanding discretion?

I've seen lots of comments in the forums from people slagging off others for hiding the fact they are swingers and they believe they should be loud and proud about it.

They say they don't give a fuck about others knowing their business which also means they don't give a fuck about sharing what friends and neighbours are getting up to as well.

There are people who just find it difficult to keep their business to themselves. They're the ones that will start alot of sentences with "don't tell anyone now, but..." or if they've had a few drinks will have a little brag.

We know a good few people on here personally, or through work etc. It's best to just be a mature adult and just mind your own business!
