"Lazer hair removal is an option with the Philips Lumea IPL being recommended to me for home lazer removal " An ex gf got the legs lazered - great job. Keep on top of the sensitive areas OP with shaving or the trimmers with the covered steel contouring face ones.

"Actually have wondered about waxing and how much longer it would last over shaving. " Lasts about 4 weeks before you need it done again. Depends on each persons ability to grow hair. If you have coarse hair it will hurt a little

"Laser hair removal is not regulated in Ireland, so a lot of the times the “therapists” Doing the treatment are only in house trained, and have no theory behind what they’re doing or what type of hair grows and why. Depending on the type of laser used and area getting treated you should be up to 90% permanently hair free after 4-6 sessions. If it’s the wrong machine or the setting isn’t correct it will take much longer or may stimulate growth. IPL isn’t laser, it may heat the hair up to vaporise it under the skin but the wavelengths cannot damage a hair follicle so while having treatments done you may be hair free but it will grow back. Great for facial treatments though Any home devices sold won’t do anything as you’re not allowed sell devices to the untrained public that could potentially give you third degree burns or damage the pigment of the skin. Whoever says waxing can be pain free is lying, and numbing cream is not recommended for anything larger than a clenched fist. You’ve billions of dormant hair follicles- nothing will last forever. " This is super helpful. Thank you. Would you have anywhere specific you would recommend to go get laser hair removal. Place I am going to helped with 80% of my hair gone.

" Depending on your skin tone, Alexandrite lasers are most effective, avoid YAG machines, and ask if they have certs in electrical epilation or saftey laser certs. Even some of the most well known Clinics are taking in machines from Korea that are basically toys. 80% could be all you’ll get, you have to take into account hormonal growth, stress related growth, colour/thickness of hairs being left etc! "Laser takes a LOT longer than I was led to believe. I've done 6 sessions on bikini and underarm, basically no difference. And those were 6 weeks apart, with no waxing allowed, and needing to shave fully before every session. I have one friend who it worked for, but your looking at about a year of treatments every 6 weeks, and then about 3 sessions a year to keep it away, it's a long term investment. Not quite the "permanent", "easy" solution they advertise. " Was that with a well known company that begins with T?

"Waxing... numbing cream 10 minutes before hand ... I am a beautician,I know that much " Curious, what numbing cream would you recommend? We do our own waxing using wax beads and get decent results, just sometimes more sensitive than others
