What are your thoughts, if any, on the Facebook page which is now up and running which is for women only who post pictures of men they have met either in a pub/club or mainly online to get other womens knowledge of the said person?

I know everyone needs to be safe, especially with online dating but surely this is an infringement on privacy and human rights?

It’s probably started out as some form of discreet check. But that sounds like a fairly big infringement on privacy.

Tell me you don’t understand GDPR without telling me you don’t understand GDPR.

Also, amusing given that Facebook was set up to rate women.

Do ye also have a problem with the WhatsApp groups that share details of women? When your friends sent you derogatory messages/pics/vids of women do you berate them?

Encryption doesn’t matter ta fuck. It’s the principle of sharing without consent is the issue. And Jaffa raises an excellent point to which men who share photos of women have zero comeback for. Hurts when the shoes on the other foot.

So you are OK with women's more intimate pictures being shared but women warning women of dangerous men is the problem wow

As to why Facebook was created, you'll have to take that up with the creator and not an occasional user.

And who is berating who here? I was simply asking a question. You on the other hand have watched First Wives Club a few too many times

A person can be blocked from Facebook groups too. I honestly don’t know what point you’re trying to make here. The person posting in either situation has all the privacy they desire. The person being posted doesn’t.

I don’t think the Facebook group is ideal and of course it could be used for nefarious reasons, it’s just amusing to see men freak out when the shoe is on the other foot for once.

Dangerous men are always going to be out there and no more so than on this very site. The sharing of anyone's pictures or information is so very wrong and that's not what I put the post up about, it was to guage opinion on whether it's right or wrong to publicly vilify someone you have not met?

Emmmmmm... Shoe? Foot? I don't think thats what my initial post was about.

There is no man or group of men who ask other men "do you think she'd beat me up" or "will she steal my gas money?" Or "do you know my girlfriend?" Which is what this page literally is. I know one woman who put her b/f up to see what was said and instantly he got cream crackered saying he looked like a pedophile!! That's what I'm talking about!!

I'm sure these things are well intended and originally had the interests of safety at heart... But this is as wrong for women as it is for men. It's ripe for nefarious use and is a serious breech of privacy. Similarly groups that share info and pics of women without their knowledge is also a gross invasion of privacy as well as probably being illegal. Best avoid this type of thing completely. Womens safety and predatory men in particular is a massive issue for our society, but this isn't the answer.

I think it's a pretty shit thing to do when either gender does it to be honest. I've been in a few so called ladies groups on a well known app and all apart from one, the rest were just used to share info about men on here despite the exact same women giving out about men doing the same. Neither is right in my opinion and I've no time for those who do it. And it's the main reason I avoid groups now.

Plenty use these platforms to get back at people they have grudges with and plenty will pile on as well then. Lots have been found out to be rumours and lies and also makes a mockery of warning others of actual dangerous individuals.

I make up my own mind about people and will continue to do so.

A Woman Scorned -

The line from which it came is "Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned, nor hell a fury like a woman scorned.” 'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned' means that there is no greater anger than that of a woman who has been rejected in love.

I've witnessed it myself.

Stay Safe.

I think the problem is that a woman may have a personal dislike against some mam and put his face up on the facebook group for all to see. Now that man could be a sound fella, it's just that particular woman may have a personal vendetta against him and trying to get his name sullied.

That's where the facebook page could cause a whole lot of problems.

Also it could also happen the other way round too
