Too early to speak about HK death?

Cambodia should make his passing date 29.11.2023 a public holiday.

Lina.

History has traditionally always been written by the victors unfortunately. It’s all a little different now with information, misinformation and disinformation. Not sure what point I’m trying to make without going into full rant mode so I’ll just leave it there.

I suppose I’m sad for those who will miss him.

Lucan

One of the most prolific mass murderers of the late 20th century.

How he was even allowed near a Nobel peace prize, let alone win one, is a stain on that award.

The West

The poster child for Western imperialism.

I do hope history isn't kind to him.

"If it wasn't for him Vietnam would still be at war, just my opinion. "

If it wasn't for him the Vietnam war, or the American war as the Vietnamese call it, would have ended a lot earlier. Also, at least tens of thousands of innocent civilians died in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos died as a result of American bombing missions that were part of his plan. People still die every year in both Laos and Cambodia as a result of unexploded ordnance that is still being accidentally uncovered.

It's also worth remembering that the US sent military into Cambodia to train Khmer Rouge special forces, subsequently turning a blind eye to the incredible slaughter that the Khmer Rouge then inflicted on the people of Cambodia. Again, Kissinger was the strategist for this.
