As the final month of the year looms.

How are you feeling heading into the final month of 2023 ?

Was 2023 good or bad for you ?

Would you repeat the year again or you literally cannot wait for that stroke of midnight as we enter 2024 ?

Bit of a mixed bag for me. Got to meet my youngest nephew in person for the first time last Christmas, but my father ended up in house then at the same time. And then meet him again in the summer when my father passed away so happy and sad times.

Work wise I continue to be busy and the future seems bright.

Took a good long fab hiatus too, still not got the gra back for it, next year now

2023 for me personally wasn’t quite but I’m so glad where I am right now.

Fully intend to enjoy the last month of 2023.

Glad some had an amazing year.

For those who hadn’t everything will always come full circle no matter what.

Sometimes everything must break down to bring much better circumstances into your life.

The West

This year I:

Let go an unfulfilling career.

Became single after an engagement and the greatest romance of my life. February

Had to find a new home (unrelated to relationships).

Took the year off work to figure myself out.

Found my feet as a single parent after 3 years

Embraced being single for the first time in my life.

Explored my sexual identity and challenged my preconceived ideas about attraction and relationships.

Learned to communicate in a neutral way about my needs as a person.

Learned about healthy boundaries and sane limits and how they evolve.

Had a threesome (or a few )

Accepted my non neurotypical brain and gave myself the time and space away from the influences that didn't.

Found and made friends in a sex positive community.

Found life changing solutions to health issues for both my children.

Found a new best friend.

Got my first pets as adult. Two kittens.

Found funding, support and mentorship to start a few career next year

Probably the most brutal and also the greatest year of my life.

I'm really looking forward to next year.

Far far away

This year I

Took back control of my life

Went on an amazing trip with my son

Drank lots of coffee

Read voraciously but never finished a book.

Juggled even more projects

Paid off a mortgage

Swam naked

Felt the pain of grief

Made new friends

2024.... Let's be having ya!

Extremely busy year. Was looking forward to rest.

Terminated bad career.

Renewed a Newer career.

New phone number and cut loose the undeserving.

Made more time for myself.

Took 1 day a week as holidays to explore.

Sex bucklist getting ticked off steadily. Open minded to trying more new and exciting ideas.

Injury healing nicely, muscles reloading for Xmas

Roll on 2024. New challenges and adventures await

Was a year of ups and downs

did lots of travelling met some really interesting people and seen some fantastic places

Had to move house, but it was a good thing as it finally made me make the move I always wanted

Starting a new career path just needed the push of the move to make me go for what I always wanted.

Loved and lost.

Started gym and surprised myself that I really love my daily workout.

Focused more on my wellbeing and mental health.

Looking forward to 2024 and all that's going to come

There and Here

It hasn't been great.

I've really struggled this year with my physical and mental health. It has felt like a constant battle with anxiety and agoraphobia, then

rounded the year off with a bereavement and a break up.

Definitely issues that need to be addressed and changes made in 2024

It hasn't been a great year for me. It's been very stressful at times. I've basically been on call for my sister since January........

But on a lighter note, I've made a decision to start a new career path and I start work experience in the first week of January!!!

I re-joined fab so that has been good!!

Health-wise - recently been told I have the full bill of health but I need to work on my diet and cut down on the sugars a lot so I'll have to avoid baking cakes to bring to socials, sorry to all those who love my cakes!!!

I actually don't have any work on over Xmas which means I can really enjoy it this year which makes a change!!

Roll on 2024 as there are lots to look forward to including a possible trip to Gran Canaria!!!

Somewhere in Co. Down

It's been a tough year for a few different reasons none of which I want to share in the forums. At times it felt like I was just in survival mode and wading through mud just getting through it. But in saying that good friends especially my bestie from here and in life outside of here has made a big difference. And has made the year so much better.

The bravery someone has shown this year has amazed me and I don't think they even realise it.

It's made me realise how important real friends and my family mean to me and how much we support each other in times of need.

I'll be glad to see the back of this year and I hope next year things will pick up for everyone who has had a tough year. And for those who didn't I hope it continues to be a great year for them.

For me, most of 2023 has been real shi**y. Between my work, family losses, family illnesses, and my health suffering to the extent that it was a real struggle for most of the year.

I did learn, though, that I am much stronger than I thought I was, and importantly, I found out who was there for me and who wasn't.

I am now more content than I have been for years and looking forward to 2024 as so many things planned!

Started off 2023 by joining Fab,rightly. Glad I did it, so far anyway's. Less than 2 months ago a family member, health took a turn for the worse. Which has lead to it's own stress & hassel. Otherwise it was just plane shity year, like most year's for me.

All that said looking forward to 2024, with joy.

Looking forward to more interaction relating to fab.

Looking forward to finally walking out of the place I work in,for the VERY last time, to NEVER walk back into EVER again. What I'll do afterwards, God knows. It wouldn't bother me, if I end up on the dole again. It wouldn't bother me if it's for a long period of time either. Before anybody says anything getting a new job before leaving a job, DOESN'T work like that with me. Who knows, might start working for meslf, during the year. Could really do with something good happening.

(As for losing A parent part. That's already happened for me/us. So wouldn't be going through that again. As it's not a nice or happy thing to go through)

Excluding a health issue I’ve had over the past 5 weeks 2023 has been an okay year. Nothing more, nothing less. Looking forward to 2024, getting the house decorated, garden sort and maybe a holiday squeezed in somewhere a long the way. All recommendations welcome! Lol

New beginnings, new outlook, new year, new start. Perhaps the chance to learn something new in 2024, joining a group of some sort, going somewhere new. New hobby, new people, new interests and something more than just going to work and not really doing much else.

Perhaps 2024 will bring a new woman into my life, who just wants me for my body and I’ll not be that sex starved middle aged guy anymore. Fingers crossed his end! Hopefully there’s plenty to look forward to in the coming weeks as we see out 2023 and maybe, just maybe 2024 will start of with a bang. Well, one that puts a smile on my/your face at least!
