Harvey's point in Donegal tops all the hotels we have been to .

The setting

The food

The rooms

The staff.

We have done a fair bit of travelling around to the 4 corners of Ireland . This has to be one of the best.

I agree. I went to the cabaret night and I've got to say, one of the best nights I had at Harveys Point

I love the hotels around the coast especially those that have a balcony with the bedroom. Sea breeze on nude bodies late in the night

The Waterside in Donabate had sliding doors to the balcony. Could leave them open as you cuddled up at night

Kilkenny

Arkow Bay - Arklow

Kileshin - Portlaoise

Worth going on the Google and search hotels in the area you wish to visit.

The hotels will be displayed and the prices are shown also

That's what I will be doing for the next 18 months to 2 years on this project in the Leinster area

Will post about the hotels as I go

Thanks for that I regularly overnight with a lady not on here by the way it’s always North of 200 for a basic room nothing else we’re glad of our secret time together but since COVID and Ukrainian war prices are nuts. One hotel in Shannon was around 95 per night now 210 cheapest for the same room

City Centre

I was meeting a friend in the Spencer Hotel in Dublin so I called ahead saying we were celebrating a special anniversary to see if they'd give us an upgrade on the room. It was all lies, thing's were very much casual between us. He was flying in from Paris that afternoon so I went ahead and checked in. Result! Got the upgrade to a small suite. When I got to the room there was a trail of rose petals from the door to the bed and 2 small little boxes of Butlers chocolates on the bed. Mortified!

I never moved as quickly trying to pick up the petals before my friend arrived, and threw the chocolates over beside the water like nothing had happened. My friend would have thought I'd lost the plot if I'd left everthing the way it was. We laughed about it though

Recommendations welcome of course.

Best surprise ever was a Dub couple managing g to get into the Conrad and up to our room the morning after a social. The said they would do it but alot is said late on in a social, some craic that morning.

You should try Galgorm Resort. They have private outdoor baths in some of the accomodation. Think they might be rolltop. Obviously wait till the weather warms up a bit
