Yes, seen it...a bit of disappointment tbh

I thought it was a brilliant film, the cinematography, the vibes. It was a great experience. It was a good plot, maybe didn't have to be as spoonfed at the end in terms of what happened. Barry Keoghan will get a best actor nomination for this, and he may as well win it.

Neither. Falls apart badly in the third act, plot is full of holes, characters actions make little sense. Looks good and has decent jokes but ‘lol funny toffs’ is hardly revolutionary territory.

I throughly enjoyed it. Agree with the spoon feeding at the very end.

Barry Keoghan was epic in it.

Loved it. Barry Keoghan is a fabulous actor. It's certainly not the horror show the internet has made it out to be.

It's a bit of a ripoff of The Talented Mr. Ripley, except with British toffs and swinging Irish mickeys.

I immediately thought it was an inferior Talented Mr. Ripley. It's ok though. A solid 6 out of 10 for me.

I fully agree. For such a great cast it was such a let down of a movie, expected a lot more and still got ptsd from keoghan shagging the grave

Dirty ol town…

Can’t get over the positive reviews online about this…switched it off, couldn’t stand the cringey shock erotic scenes, and terrible accent from Keoghan, good actors, nice camera work, terrible movie, doing it’s best to be the Talented Mr Ripley in the 2020s…

Belfast

It wasn't weird.

It was just trying really hard to be different by borrowing bits from various genre.

Even the 4:3 aspect ratio it was shot in was a homage to the 60s and 70s movies it was copying.

Women in love anyone?

Weak and predictable storyline and ridiculous stereotyping.

Haven't seen Barbie but at least it knows it's audience so give it a few Oscars before considering our Barry.

Liked it. Great role for Keoghan . Interesting the talented mr ripley comparisons but it’s much darker than that and lots of twists.

I thought it was excellent. It was visually beautiful, with a top notch soundtrack too. My only criticism is that I felt it rushed to the ending after the gloriously dark creeping menace.

I loved Promising Young Woman too, and I'm glad that Saltburn had the same slightly manic twisted feel

My new years day viewing. I absolutely loved it. Granted there was a few weak spots here and there but there was something captivating about it.

My dark sense of humour was tickled pink and "The Vampire" scene was the best period piece I've ever seen in a movie.

Barry has got some moves

It kept me entertained but his accent was shockingly bad, we complain when people butcher the Irish accent but fuck me that was a hatchet job on the scouse one. As said before, cringey but good cringey grave fucking, the bath tub drinking wtf and i actually found the Vampire scenario to be quite erotic. Compared to what's out there now very entertaining.

around

Someone said taking a few pics for here with scenes from the movie in the background would be a great idea, so I eventually got around to watching it a bit later.

Personal verdict: anything with Richard E. Grant gets a thumbs up from me, and I really enjoyed Rosamund Pike's pastiche, but in general it was a bit... Meh. Good acting, some nice cinematography, amazingly predictable script. It could have been much darker if they toned down the camp.

As per Netflix rating system: one thumb up, but not two from me
