"Watching a netflix documentary on con artists who identify your "soul karmic" instant life partner. It got me thinking. Have you ever had that instant connection with someone. Could be m/f or any scenario that made you think... This person needs to be in my life.. Just from the first instant. " Yup, one of my closest friends. Met her originally being her client. I remember being really sad when the first appointment came to an end as we could have kept chatting for hours. Our friendship kept growing from there and she's been one of my closest friends for three years now.

"As a deeply spiritual person myself. Who uses their spirituality everyday to earn a living. I have come across the term ‘twin flame’ before. I have felt a strong pull to others before and the time with them was amazing. But like lads and their post nut clarity. Us ladies get that too and we be there cuddled in and all I’m thinking na this will never work in the real world. As humans yes we crave connection. But basing a relationship on having an amazing connection alone is simply not enough as humans because if the two involved are at different levels of growth and healing it’s a recipe for disaster and this will more than likely lead to a toxic relationship. Whats always important to remember not everyone we meet in this lifetime wants to evolve/level up. Some people are happy out being ass holes. We absolutely need compatibility more than connection over the long term. Connection is great but it changes and fades. Whereas compatibility is the absolute foundation for anyone looking for that solid partner. It’s what gets people out of bed every day and continue to choose each other everyday. "

"I found the programme fascinating as they profited from peoples desire for connection or twin flames. Even if it was absolutely one sided. I had this connection with a person for over a year. I had manifested a life of us together. Yet the reality was he married the girl next door and they now have a child together. When the power of connections is one sided its hugely detrimental. On the converse side, my bff is in my life for 35 years even though we live in different countries. " Twin flame it’s an interesting theory if you get too caught up on it. You will end up wearing rose tinted specs and not see things for what they are (ie the other persons red flags) having less boundaries with the said person all because you whole heartedly believe in this “connection”. A lot of readers psychics mediums jumped on the ‘twin flame’ bandwagon a few years ago and really screwed with their clients minds selling them the dream of twin flames. IMO I believe each of us can have several soul mates in our life time. This not only includes lovers it also includes friends family members etc. You connect on a different level once it’s not taking you off your purpose than I would say it’s safe to say it’s a healthy connection but again you need more than just a connection for any relationship to work and last these days.

"I think we all have more than one soul mate. Soul mates are not just romantic, they are in your life at the right time and for the right reasons so could be a partner or friend etc. I would love to believe in a twin flame, I watched the documentary and also watched another one about the same group but can’t remember where I watched it. It’s sad to think that money trumps everything and all of those peoples vulnerabilities were just used for the organisers to earn cash. I love that feeling when you make a connection with someone but I’m hesitant to trust myself or my instincts any more after being ghosted twice this year by people I thought I liked and liked me back. Clearly they didn’t feel the same as me which worries me coz then I think how could I have read the situation so so wrong! I don’t want to end up being the cliche single guarded lady with too many walls up and unable to trust but I’m afraid that’s where I’m heading " Thanks for sharing.. its not your problem the problem is with 'expectations' they always stay within us but are a strong emotion, and the most facinating part is that the other person does not get to know because expectations were never explained to them in words.. just expressed. I have faced this many times, and the conclusion is to not expect anything.. but still keep doing what you got to do ... as regards to twin flames i do believe in them and sometimes it seems like they are connections from another birth or something.. i recently saw a video on multiverse theory and it explains that when people in two universe have a timeline interaction.. they can exchange this kinda information which is very familiar to both but still not complete.. who knows just a theory

"Hi _hivers2020, I hear ya. I never ever believed in this until it happened to me. I’m professional fairly intelligent and sharp witted and I’m an open person generally but not with my heart usually and this unmistakable connection from the very first sight blew my mind. I’ve been in love a few times but this was something else, something old, something historical and something so connected it was like we knew we had been here before. I don’t believe in this stuff but honestly something else. But like you after 3 years he dropped it like a hot potato and the intensity was too much for him apparently (wink wink and wiping a tear from the breeze of those big red flags blowing for 3 years) I’m now left with feeling an absolute fool, giving up my home, my family, doubting myself and shutting the doors and building a big sturdy cynical wall that no one will get through again and any other potential twin flame will be getting a big fk off fire hose. Apologies in advance lads. Started meditation classes though to bring peace and virtuous thoughts if you want to join lol lol " how stupid he was, you're stunning and so brave for being so open, good on you.x

On one hand it’s not fair or right to hold other future potential partners accountable for another man’s actions, which is always the way I’ve tried to view things, but this ghosting business seems to be the new phenomenon and it’s just cruel. After connecting and meeting etc, takes two mins to reply to a text and say “I’m not feeling it”. As for managing expectations, I always think “it’s the hope that kills”. I like to go into new situations with an honest heart and open mind, I don’t want to end up being guarded and pushing people away just to protect myself.

"Thanks everyone for sharing. There is strength in vulnerability. I learned that recently when you open up to new possibilities. Yes potentially could be hurt, but likewise closing off your emotions, you may never experience the what ifs. I completely empathise with the gut wrenching sadness that goes with rejection. Still seeking twin flames.. At this moment is merely a spark. " Rejection is definitely not nice no matter who is on the receiving end of it
