Pure pain over unrequited love. Eddie Vedder reveals so much emotion in The 1992 Pink Pop version...

And the live in Holland 1992 version of Release (from the same album as Black) shows Vedder revealing the same level of emotion.

A lot of the songs post were huge hits - for me a forgotten song means it wasn't a hit but was still special...
