Hi fellow Fabbers,

A serious topic for a Monday morning but it might be of interest so I thought I'd share. In case anyone doesn't know, you can get a free STI home testing kit from the HSE. Some common STIs can show no symptoms especially in women so no harm to get checked. I'm not suggesting it as an alternative to safe sex, but it's free so why not. You can check it out at sh24.ie

Top tip: don't use your ring finger to draw blood for the test. Ouch!

STI testing is safe sex. All people with multiple sexual partners should get tested every 12 weeks on top of practicing safe sex.

Also you can get an STI from oral sex that is unprotected so unless you're checking for recent STI test results before playing with someone new, that is increasing risk.

This service is magic for peace of mind, and hassle free. Popped a test in post this morning.

Great service, no excuse for people not to have regular testing.

Tip for the blood test. Warm your hands first. I find the tip of the pinky finger on your non dominant hand, the easiest to get good flow from.
