I often wonder is Ireland full of prudes or is everyone secretly like us? Or maybe we're just perverts. I'd love to know other people's views on this.

If half the country were swingers we'd all be a lot happier haha...I do believe people are kinkier than they let on, but not willing to voyage outside of the home

Prude sounds so derogatory...

Each to their own.

I have no idea about the numbers but, 6 years ago, 5 years ago we etc I would have been in this prude classification, Wether anyone new me or not.

How many of fab going back a few years would be too.

I think there's a time for everything.

It's definitely becoming more acceptable to be open about your sexuality and interests. I've had many conversations with friends and co-workers that wouldn't have common just a few short years ago. Now people openly admit to watching porn, most couples and many singles use sex toys. I can honestly see swinging becoming more common and openly talked about in the future, we're half way there with the likes of tinder etc

My generation are open pervs, friends recommend each other porn, strip take two in college with strangers. I would probably say my women friends are a lot more open about more taboo things.

But I think most non-swinger single people are open to casual sex and "seeing where it goes" before seriously looking for a relationship.

Obviously, women are still more cautious than men because of the whole fear of murder, but swingers aren't any different, I just feel safer cos I being my partner along

I think women in particular are a lot better about being authentic about their sexuality, what they like and don't like. Saying no is important too. I've known too many women who went along with shitty encounters to "be polite" because a guy expected it.

Some men do have a nasty tendency to brand you a prude if your not into them or what they're offering.

As for couples being non-monogamous, that one is still slow. I've seen plenty of singletons on the forums this is only something they do when not in a relationship. They wouldn't 'share' a partner.

A lot of people still get hung up on an old fashioned sense of exclusivity equating commitment, and plenty will even make fun of people in open-monogamous relationships. Especially about men - making cuck comments.

But as a whole it's much more accepted.

If your a couple looking for couples you know there are always new people @looking to dip their toes". But I think the sad part os most of us feel the need to keep it secret from friends and family. Obviously not the gory details. But what even acknowledging we're not exclusive.

We are definitely more liberated now and this will continue happening I think. It’s really positive and having a healthy view of sex should be the norm.

That for me sums up the forums on here at times original OP was asking a light hearted question definitely no malice & then 4 answers in she’s shot down & that then sets the tone … I’d flip the question & ask are people in the forums sometimes to judgemental?

Personally I'd be a prude, keep very quiet & shy about this side of my life. In a general sense I'd talk about most thing's.

I (Mr) saw OP's terminology as being playful, not judgemental or derogatory. When we've met people at events & socials, there's been open joking about "having a perv" at each other's profile pics later.

Swapping or sharing is a big step for a couple. I'm sure not all members of fab will swap or share. To say "it's not a big deal" isn't true - swapping or sharing partners is very much a big deal; far more adventurous and out-there than sharing porn links...

Not sure we'll be doing much swapping or sharing, but watching others play, and maybe letting others see us play as a couple is where the turn-on in all this lies for us.

Not keen to share that we do this. Not because we're pervs, nor for shame nor embarrassment, but for the same reasons we don't share the details of our bedroom kinks and preferences, or what I like P to wear, or what P likes me to do - if we wouldn't and haven't openly shared any elements of our sex life before entering this world, why would now start sharing that we're on fab?
