Overhyped things

i travel all over

I was watching fight club again last week and i was underwhelmed for 2 plus hours. I know it has some interesting ideas about masculinity but it’s actually fairly lame. Perhaps Brad pitt’s abs and the rules of fight club blinded everyone in the 90s.

Any art form/product/event which you think is overhyped?

Katie Taylor fighting, it is hard to believe she is a Christian and price of her fight tickets.

What have Katie Taylor's religious beliefs got to do with the price of a ticket to see fight ..promotors need to make a profit

U2 in Vegas is not just another gig

Its the most advanced concert venue ever built and they asked the band that reinvented stadium shows to open it

It's been on every news program and every newspaper in the world since last weekend

That's why the NFL is so good. Being the richest club makes little difference to your onfield success.

But if you coaching is shit so too will your team!

I found fight club to be a good movie the first time, akin to 6th sense , usual suspects, Se7en, it's the shock factor that made the movie, when you know it's coming it's not the same .

Over hyped , everything is marketed to death these days , it's quite often with low expectations that you get the best results.

Prime is dirt even the kids don't like it , but they need to try it.

The old phrase you get what you paid for is still true but more often than not it's the advertising campaign you pay for, not the product.

I was chatting with a dabber about this the other day, the gin market exploded due to this .

Everything is over hyped!!!

Ok ..

Rugby if you like it , it's a great game, not many modern games have such a high level of strength and skill at the core of them. As a very small country we punch way above our weight, we are not just good , we are excellent. Tomorrow we play the Scots, also an excellent team. They will beat the hell out of each other and share a beer together afterwards. There is a lot to admire in rugby, a lot to be proud of. I funny believe anyone who ever played it as a team sport would never say it was overhyped.

We could potentially win the world cup this year, we could also potentially go out tomorrow.

I freakin love it .

"The Galway Arts Festival "

I have a very complicated relationship with it

Having left a metropolis to live on a Boreen I love being 15 minutes drive from an opera and that’s why the arts festival makes possible.

But the programme is soooo pretentious. A typical description of a play is ‘ Audiences experience this riveting story through immersive narration, lighting and sound’
