People need to know disclaimers on their profiles aren't protective talismans.

Im not sure why this is still a thing. Im certain i seen it years ago on another site like facebook. It sounds vaguely like "sovereign citzen" stuff.

Universities probably aren't here collecting your nudes for a social studys.

GDPR, and other actual laws cover these things and don't require you put in the bio to do so.

kinda dublin

Just to add. A Publicly traded entity means that shares in the company can be bought on the Stock Market.

Do people actually think that you can buy shares of FabSwingers on the New York Stock exchange? And why do they think that this somehow means that it has anything to do with them using your data.

The West

It really should read.

I hereby consent to fab swingers fingerprinting my browser, storing a picture of my face that's connected to my bio, tracking my location and monetising the site through targeted advertising at me based on my browsing habits

At least it's Https though.

Where the Streets Have No Name

After consulting with the Attorney General, we have come up with a water-tight disclaimer that has been added to the foot of my profile.

I would suggest that everyone copies & pastes ...immediately!

The publicy traded entity always makes me laugh!!

Just hit up your broker. They’re trading on the London AIM for 69p a share!

Munster

Yep, nonsense, when we join any chat forum we click accept to T&Cs, that no one reads, and we agree everything we post and share can be used by the site owner in any way they see fit.

Mumsnet AI is now a thing, where salespeople can buy access to data owned by mumsnet, the data allows them to target potential audiences fir marketing purposes, they review the content to extract valuable information and trends.

All the disclaimers here and anywhere else are nonsense.
