"Maybe someone can explain why oversized women are called Curvy or BBW but oversized men are simply called FAT. No offence to anyone" Don't think so. Fat men tend to be called curvy, chubby, or dadbod.

"Honestly I don't use the word fat to describe people. I've heard lads called stout, big fella, heavy set, dad bod. I'm sure others will think of more There are women with profiles that say they are fat and I applaud them taking ownership of a word that is used to deride. If someone wants to insult you they're gonna do it. It just makes them a huge dick. And body shaming of any gender often comes from the shallowest and most fragile of people. What other words are there to describe heavy men that are not degrading? " He's a unit! Can be used for all men that are well built, heavy set, muscley, stout etc.

"I don't find the word fat degrading in itself. It's descriptive. Of course it CAN be used in a rude insulting way, but it's all about the context and intent." On here my experience of the word fat has always been as an insult funnily its usually after you've turned them down. Although 1 or 2 have messaged to just point it out
