Cork

High b doesn't allow phones. You'll never know what your walking into. The welcome Inn is one of the smallest. (Air plane toilets) the old oak has people of all ages its a strange place for young girls to be hit on by old men.. kinda creepy but the music's good. Chambers is the local gay bar but it's mostly just everyone but is allways a great laugh. The Broug is a class spot for 00s 90s and 80s music if you like food ball and abba head their. If you want craft beer and alternative poeple who are always ver nice then head to the friary.. be warned everything has nicolis cages face on it and there's either fancy dress or a quiz night 50%of the time. If metal is your thing Fred zeppelins but you might get a stray elbow in a moshpit. Dali nights do a rave sometimes in tuck Street over peace Park. And voodoo has 3 floors of night club 1 is a smoking area all with different music but the drink is eh and the entry is expensive iv youv been there more then twice in my opinion. Mostly every bar has its own vibe you'll enjoy any of them but those are the busying for local people to head to. Enjoy your weekend mate

East / North, Cork

Crane lane is lovely sitting outside on a warm evening. The Oliver Plunkett is good and lively with live music. Mutton lane is kinda divey but a good playlist. Those are my city centre faves. I wouldn't bother with the 'clubs' they are a bit of an embarrassment.

I concur...the nightclubs are pitiful.

Franciscan well is that bar. Reardens is still one of the busiest bars around and probably the easiet bar to chat up in too

It's trying a little too hard to be hip and cool (receptionist couldn't hear us over the DJ in the "bar" ), but food is grand, room retro decor if that's your thing, very small though. I'm sure some will love it, maybe we're just too old.

The DJ was actually in the reception area.

He was about 6 feet from the reception desk. The bar was in the reception too I think, lol

Takes a while for eyesight to adjust to the dark when you arrive at reception.

We are just too old!
