What do you dream about?

I have a few different recurring dreams that I've had all my life. One thing that is common to them all is trying to fly. I've watched myself get better over the course of twenty odd years and this week found myself looping in and out of the clouds. I woke up feeling like I'd achieved something huge.

Have you witnessed developments in your dreams over time? How have they evolved?

I dream a lot about my childhood home, and usually end up crying not sure why.

My dreams have been quite stressful lately been know to wake crying or screaming so guess they more nightmares

And I seem to dream about my teeth falling out a lot or pulling nails from the legs. Dirty rusty nails. You'd think I was stressed lol

I have a recurring dream about working in a pub again and I either forget to check the roster and don’t turn up for my shift or when I get there I can’t log on to the till, there are too many customers and not enough stock or I just can’t find where anything is. I am pretty sure it’s just from being overwhelmed with work in real life.

Have another recurring dream about trying to get a horse free who is caught in an underground car park. No clue what that one is about!

I almost never dream, or at least I don't remember them, let alone have recurring ones.

I have very vivid sexual dreams about people I'm attracted to that are extremely stimulating

Recurring one since childhood is the theme of being able to breath under water and swimming to great depths in the ocean.

I never had the type of dreams that you read about. The vast majority of my dreams are lucid and are about me being a character in a story. On occasion, if the dream was really good, I am able to go back into a dream state if I haven't fully woken up yet.

The only recurring thing in the last couple of years, was dreams of me and my family living in a house. The dreams vary but the house is always more or less the same. Those dreams are more often weird and confusing.

Definitely prefer the ones I xan control

I know I have dreams regularly, but I don't remember a single one of them!

Mrs could write a book of weird stories, from hers!

Sleeping dreams, nothing like your OP.

The closest I get to a recurring dream(so to speak) is of me falling into water, with wellies on. It only last seconds, I wake up shivering & it freaks me out BIG TIME. As I can't swim. I might have it only once a year, I've been having it for year's doe, at the same time.

(Off topic more than likely)

Life time dreams. As where you'd like to see yourself in X amount of year's in the future. Used to have loads of them alright. I soon coped on, that anytime I did it, everything would go to shit. So I stopped doing them type of dreams. As they'll never come true, for me anyway's.

Somewhere in Co. Down

I have pretty weird dreams at times. Some I only remember bits of after but they make me think where the hell did that come from after.

I use to have a reoccurring dream when I was a young it wasn't a nice dream at all it was definitely more of a nightmare and the strange thing was years later when my sister and I were talking about it, but we both had almost the identical nightmare for years without knowing it was happening to both of us.

Dreams about teeth falling out means something on your life is overwhelming you or you have a situation where you are not in control and it damages your self esteem I was told by a friend studying psychology years ago.

I used to get them alot a while back but not lately.

They are horrible.

I think it was to do with the stress I put on myself in sport I played a few sports at a decent level and was better than most but always had a bit of imposter syndrome going on.

They stopped nearly as soon as I gave up sport

I have a recurring dream with very different scenarios but always the same outcome. I'm in a mundane environment (office meeting, classroom as a student, waiting room etc). I start to feel trapped and there's no door so I run, jump, tuck my legs to my chest and burst through a window to freedom. I get the same elation every time even though it can take ages for me to work up the effort to escape. Its so bizarre,

I dreamt I was at an old colleagues funeral a while back again i escaped out the window. The funeral was for a woman I had a great relationship with and a few weeks later I found out she had died suddenly in Canada. I was shook!

I have had recurring dreams all my life where I am lost in a city or late for something.

It's changed this year. Last week I dreamt I was at a party doing L S D with Timothy Leary.

I've been deliberately pushing my dreams in different directions by putting on talks that will play all night and falling asleep to them. To very interesting effect.

I didn't know that would work ice cream. interesting. the only ones I've had recurring were about rats dying and my teeth crumbling.

Rats dying is supposed to signify enemies being found out to some effect and the teeth is about loosing control I think.

I seldom dream nowadays. life has regularity I feel. must try your theory!

Loads of talks on every imaginable subject. I think of it as lazy learning.

Right now I'm having fun with the American visionaries from the 60's and 70's like Richard Albert and Alan Watts.
