But the only Exception I know of is Elvis. Elvis reached a level of stardom far beyond anyone before him.

Elvis is a fucking cool assed name, but he killed it off because no one will dare call a child it. I've never heard if a single other Elvis, besides Costello, but his real name is boring assed Declan.
