Dublin, 4th September, Obituary - Need accommodation

Dublin/Cork

Heya!

I'm coming up to Dublin on 4th of September to see Obituary at The Academy. Unfortunately, I've so far been unable to find any affordable accommodation.

I know this is very unlikely, but would any kind Fabber be able to help me out?

I promise I'm not looking for any sexy-time to happen. Hell... I'll even pay for a couch to sleep on!

I just don't like the thought of having to rush for the 1AM bus back to Cork as I'd love to have a couple of drinks in Fibbers after the gig. You could even join me at Fibbers (or approach me at the gig if you're going too) to suss me out and see if I'm worthy of your couch.

I'm not an excessive drinker, so I won't be hammered, and I live by the rule of leaving no trace wherever I stay so I'm not gonna cause any mess.

I'm only finding beds in shared rooms in hostels though. Not particularly fan of that, but I suppose it's better than roaming the streets until the first bus home.

Worst case scenario.

Gigs in the Academy finish before half 10. You'd be in fibbers and drinking your 1st drink by 10.45 or earlier. You wouldn't have to leave to get the bus until 12.45 cos its only a 10min walk from fibbers to Aston Quay for the bus so that gives you a solid 2 hours for a couple of drinks.

Not ideal but with the cost of hotels could be a decent option.

Don't ask me to make sense.

In seriousness though, I'd absolutely be looking at the Fabbers veri's. I can't check veri's on people I'd be sharing hostel-room with.

Do you think people would display a veri that said “stole all my shit and shaved my hair off during the night while I slept on their couch”

Tbh it really just bangs of wanting free accom and maybe a ride. I can’t see it being a success so I would consider other options if I was you.

No, but it'd give me some sense of the person, plus I do like socialising with likeminded people even without the play. Fab is not all about getting a ride.

And while I can see how one might wrongly see hidden intentions in my request, I can assure you that is not the case, and I feel confident that those who actually know me on this site can attest to that I do not meet with hidden intentions.

I am indeed considering other options, thank you.
