"Very sad to hear of two deaths during the Ironman event. RIP." I never like hearing about tragedies like that as someone who loves outdoor activities. The danger is always there. The below is from the report on it, can't imagine the conditions if they got into difficulty after the swim had been more than halved in distance! Very sad. RIP "They were taking part in a 1.7km swim when they got into difficulties. Both men, one aged in his mid-60s and the other in his mid-40s, were pronounced dead at the scene. The swim had been shortened from an original distance of 3.8km." | |||
