It started so well, but was gone by July. Its going to be a long autumn and winter if we don't see an Indian Summer in September

100%.

I'm not one to moan about the weather normally.

But 6 straight weeks of miserable conditions, slap bang in the middle of summer is taking the piss. Impacting on plenty of plans and would just get you in a shite mood overall.

I overheard 2 farmers chatting during the week and they considered it a great summer . Silage was cut and grass was growing mad .

"I overheard 2 farmers chatting during the week and they considered it a great summer . Silage was cut and grass was growing mad . "

The same farmers who never take a holiday or usually complain about the weather. Those same farmers were giving out in April and May about low grass growth. Can't blame them for being happy over the summer considering the price of feed if they had a shortage.

I thought the old saying was "Make hay while sun shines" but supposedly the farmers love the rain. By all accounts we are in for a small change this week so hopefully it will arrive and last longer than expected

Hell ya.

It's turned into a right pain in the HOLE, BIG time. Weather your working, on holiday's or a farmer.

There's loads of farmers not happy with the weather. Especially if they've to start their second cut or needing to start harvesting. Look at the farmer's that's along the Shannon. Their down about 5,000 bales between hay & silage. Do you think there happy farmer's?

Just like some construction worker's. You can't do anything outside in the evening's or weekend's either. There's alot of talk about climate change(I'm not saying that it doesn't exist, far from it), that we're going to be getting hoter, dryer summers & wetter, stormier winter's. Around me here it's as good as raining ALL YEAR ROUND now.

If your on holiday's, you can't really go anywhere, plan anything without having rain gear with you & hoping for the best.

That said more than likely we'll get some good weather in September, once the school's open up again(typical).

I'm sure you wouldn't be short of offers with wood, hard wood at that aswell. You mightn't be able to burn it doe. You'll have to use it another way, to keep warm.

Completely fed up of it. It's August. Have the heating on, it's freezing. Daytime 20c, rain, then blistering sun, then high winds, more rain, sun. Nobody knows how to drive in the rain, nobody knows how to drive in the sun.

My sinuses are going bonkers. I wake up asking myself "Oh what fresh hell do we have today?" And that fecking magpie outside my window looking in is taunting me.

Thanks, rant over.

Rant away pal.....thats what we are here for. Feel your pain too although don't suffer from Hayfever. One of the neighbours though....like his missus farting on his pillow every night. Awful hayfever/pink eye....the jury still out, he blames the pollen though
