How do people deal with trolls on here ? I try not to take some nasty comments to heart but some comments can be very hurtful

Ignore them. Any response is taken as a positive, so skip over them. Why waste your energy, your time, or you feelings? They have none, so save yours.

Yeah, unfortunately trolls can be a fact of life anytime you put yourself out there. The only response is to block and delete, and probably report them as abusive as well. But don’t give them the satisfaction of a reply! It’s what they want.

So sorry you’ve had to deal with that.

Set up tight filters and instigate messages yourself to profiles you like rather than wait for messages

If any message that gets past your filters has a rude heading that you can see without opening it...just block and delete...dont engage as that's what they wank to thinking they've upset someone

I've actually replied (being a gentleman) with 2 methods to a few keyboard warriors on here,

1st was

Kindly note that messages sent privately to this profile inbox aren't read in a timely manner owing to the profile member having a very active social life away from electronics. If a reply is not forthcoming then your message has been deleted and no further consideration will be contemplated.

2nd method

Harassment, Harmful Communications and Related Offences Act 2020.

I copied the whole bill and sent about a dozen emails containing sections of the bill.

Unfortunately they exist everywhere. Fab in particular requires a tough skin for all genders. At people said it is best to block and move on.

Responding in any way just gives them oxygen - report, block and delete every time

The 1st part of this answer is the only way how to deal with 'trolls'.

The 2nd one, however, is against the rules, no matter how much one would like to share names to warn others.

I have to say tough, that 'trolling' or 'names calling' seems to be common standard between some of the 'gentlemen' on here.

I wouldn't hesitate and reporting their profiles to admins. I know it's only temporary solution, as they will be back again, nonetheless, getting rid of those pests might be better solution long term, than just simple block and move on?
