Myself and my FB are just chatting about throuples, and how they seem to be becoming more mainstream and common, or at least less taboo online, and are wondering, have they began to become a thing in Ireland yet, or is Ireland still a little wet behind the ears.... anyone have any personal experience? I can see them having a lot of pros.... I imagine there are lots of women and men, whose lives and careers, circumstances etc who would find such an arrangement beneficial to them in regards a work/career life balance.... and of course im sure couples whose relationships would benefit massively from such an arrangement....... discussion??

Without being TOO specific... The sex was never any kind of issue for anyone. It was more the emotional/relationship needs that come with having more than 1 loving relationship for me. I was supported/encouraged by my exwife to love someone else.. and eventually allowed myself to do so, but that ended up creating conflict that ended in a very painful ultinatum which i knew was going to create resentment in the long term. Basically in my view it's very emotionally damaging to allow loving bonds to build up and then try and take that away once the bonds were in place. As I said.... I wouldn't recommend.

There's a throuple living in one of houses on our estate. The neighbours etc have great gossip sessions running them down, the married part of the throuple have issues over it from their eldest kids. We don't have issues with them ourselves.

Unfortunately Ireland seems to be still a bit backward thinking when it comes to the poly dynamic still.

We've discussed something similar in regards to Dee having a girlfriend.

Yet to see it work, its only ended badly in every example of it that we have seen so far.

I've known a few but sadly for them I haven't seen any last, hopefully it wasn't a bad experience for them though. Not like all relationships last anyway.

that makes a lot of sense alright.... I guess it would require everyone be secure in themselves first....
