Hey fabbers!

As a single male I’ve never been on a holiday by myself but thinking of throwing caution to the wind and just going for it this year!

Not necessarily looking for a “fab” holiday - but wouldn’t rule it out either!

So looking for advise and opinion on places to go… specific resorts or whatever …

I’m looking around end of September (reduce liklihood of families about )

So fabbers - do your thing!! Let’s be hearing from you

I went to Corfu by myself three weeks ago, I splashed on a fancy spot and had a blast! Lovely bars and restaurants, plenty of mingling going on. Great mix of people too, I know a lot of families are travelling to Malta this year.

Playa del Ingles, in grancanaria for the swinging clubs, push your trip out a month or two, much busier, and what's not to like about maspalomas beach. One of the Greek islands, break your trip up, jump on a ferry to Athens for a couple of days. Best not to go to the movies, Adonis will be looking to play with you, unless your into gay sex that is.

In same boat here ... defo would like to go somewhere as its a Hella year

If I'm honest I find it can be lonely when I'm somewhere everyone is with others ?

Whats been your experience of this solo traveller's?

lolli land

Solo travel isn’t as lonely as you imagine, it’s new surroundings and you’re out of your normal routine so you have plenty to keep the brain occupied. I’ve done afew solo trips, london was probably my favourite as I went to see a show in the west end, done the london eye, had a spa morning and a shopping spree! It was pretty great to be honest! I didn’t have to stick to anyone else’s time line or budget or tastes. My parents live abroad so I’m well used to actually travelling alone, I was worried about the sight seeing alone but it was great!

Unashamedly bumping this -

Thanks to everyone who commented with advise and experience…

Hoping to book something this weekend for end of September time …

Welcome any more advice / opinions.

Is the “Adults Only” option on the usual/normal travel sites anything more than No Kiss Allowed or is there a better chance of meeting some interesting people?

TIA

Been away a few times now on my own, definitely love being able to just do as you please when you please. Totally chilled out times. Lanzarote now in September.

Madeira. Great for hiking, fab weather, cheap transport, direct flights and the capital Funchal is stunning
