Thought and ideas

My thoughts are I'll not be rushing to add to the distress of those who've already had the public finger pointed at them wrongly.

It has no bearing on my life and I'm sure when the BBC HR team have concluded their investigation into the allegations the person will be named if it's appropriate to do so.

Very good thought, and wonderfully said to always see a different perspective. It is quite a strange a subject, as BBC not releasing any names untill investigation has been been conducted. Which is also pretty clever.

Maybe I should of rephrased the question; thankyou for the input

No it's not clever, it's standard HR procedure. An investigation should be carried out impartially. The employer has a duty of care to the employee which is why

a) the employee will be suspended on full pay pending investigation

and

b) the employee won't be named

Interesting, also valid point , thankyou for the replies which have been very educational and actually not meaning anything personal.

Just interested in healthy conversation on a sensitive topic.

I’ve seen a name banded around as the person in question and seen their behaviour online before, so not shocked but I also don’t care and see why it’s anyone else business.

Although if it did indeed start at 17, I wouldn’t be shocked if the police didn’t chap the door soon, if they’ve not already chapped it.

If I could re-word the question that would better but I'm not sure how to be fair.

Was looking more options on the matter, I do like a healthy debate and always open to everyone's views.

If there is a way to modify the question please feel free to let me know.

Couldn't agree more, was badly worded and actually some valid points. Not sure how to rename the topic to just get thought on the situation.

I wasn’t having a dig btw. Just saying that there’s one prominent name now but I don’t see why people really care. It’s not like it affects anyone bar the person they paid for the photos.

I’m sure they’ll come out themselves and explain their pov soon enough, similar to Philip Schofield.

There is a spectrum of possible events . Absolutely anything is possible here from a family seeking a media war to generate as much money to possible (even though it might be much a do about nothing) , to something ethically dubious but not illegal, all the way to something illegal .

Although the employee won't be named, everyone in the BBC building knows who it is..Are they sworn to secrecy??

I think it's quite natural for people to wonder and guess who it might be..household name etc.

It may not affect my life and have little to do with me , but I am still intrigued and discuss it with friends and family....

Of course.

The issue, when it's brought to online platforms, is that mud sticks. Worse still, some newspapers are peddling the story with impunity - for example deliberately putting the photo of someone who the rumour mongers fancied it was, without any proof, alongside their headline on the story - causing emotional distress and potentially damaging people's careers.

On Twitter particularly, it's being treated almost like a game. Names are being thrown about without any foundation. It's unfair and cruel.

This has come out just yesterday and when you consider the parents first port of call was The Sun, its understandable that people will now draw their own conclusions about what might be going on here....Still all just hearsay, either way!

I think at this stage most people know who it is and who it isn't

Looking at some of the 4 stories that are being told now about the star

First one seems to be someone with an O.F account and got paid accordingly

O.F is over 18s so he assumed he was legal

Second one ...adult male gets chatting to another Adult male on a gay hook up app

Then the Adult male threatened the BBC star by mentioning going public and gets fucked out of it by The BBC star...wouldn't blame him

Touch of homophobia about the whole thing

Exactly BM. I'm kinda at the point now where I'm wondering what all the fuss is about. But hey, it's The Sun.

As an aside, I had to explain to my 75 year old stepfather today what OF is. "35 grand to take my shirt off!?!" he says "They'd need to be paying a lot more than that to see my fine physique!"

As always, if it's first reported in The Sun, then it's most likely a lie.

Yet some people will still belive it. That paper has a target audience. If you are to ever find yourself in that audience, you probably need to take a step back and reevaluate!

Celebrity morals...

One thinks in era of social media we live in today...

If we become celebrities is it best to to have only a vanilla sex life...

Or

If you are celebrity and enjoy kinky sex/swinging sex run the risk of being exposed...

Everyone has kinks in the bedroom providing they're legal...
