Or making payments do you use revolut or cash? What’s your usual /preferred go to? Me , personally , I use revolut mostly. Kind of a habit I’m into since covid etc.

I think with me with card, it’s the convenience. Switch some money onto the revolut and it’s there to use. Don’t have to go near a hole in the wall. I was out last Saturday for some food and we had some drink in the premises too. While there I noticed nobody paid with cash. Think the younger generation are all into card now also.

Revolut mostly. Vvvvvery rarely carry cash these days. I like the convenience of not needing to go to an ATM and then carry cash.

Until you get to "insert store" and they tell you: sorry, our terminal is down - cash only ".

Oddly, it's happened a few times to me recently where I've been made aware ahead of purchase. Doesn't bother me, I carry cash but I've seen people grappling for cash or walking back out...

As for convenience - I account for everything I spend, it's much easier for me to budget with cash. I draw my allowance, leave what's needed for the incoming bills off my account and after that, the rest is no more or towards savings.

that’s the beauty for me on revolut. I put X amount on and I get a notification each time I spend money.

You can set yourself a limit going out with cash either socialising or shopping. Leave the cards and Google pay at home . Take only the cash you intend to spend. Then you can impulse buy or get too d*unk if you only have enough for a few drinks in your pocket.

Mostly card now. Was in Edinburgh for the 6 nations this year and had gone away and got sterling for the trip. Turns out Murrayfield is a cashless stadium now so after that I set up revolut. The marquee in cork was the same this year cashless

If I'm going out for pints, I use cash. Anything else I use card. I always carry cash, even if I don't use it. It'll be a sad day, if we go to a cashless world.

At time's I don't spend as much with cash. Also I save the extra change.

There were high level negotiations for the UK to come under the Cork umbrella but their use of the word “bants” turned us off
