Our wee group is called Elegant Ecstacy, or EE...
At our events we provide;
Sumptuous, unique & heavily opulent venues.
A free bar.
Finger food to keep your energy up.
Prophylactics.
Performances based around sensuality & sex.
And a heavily vetted & impressive guest list of Irish swingers!  
We'd planned a July do, which we named "Septentrio"... alas, lack of interest & commitment meant that the event would be sparsely attended.
Rather than put on a lacklustre gig, we decided to cancel that particular outing and instead refocus our efforts, guests & resources to our October gig,
Originally titled "Saturnalia", instead we have gone with;
Elegant Ecstasy presents; A Vampire Masquerade! 
Just as it sounds, it's a vampire Halloween gig. Fancy dress in mandatory and vampire themed. No fangs, no entry.
It'll take place on Saturday the 28th of October. In the South West.
We're aiming for 40 guests total. We have 15 confirmed & locked in as we speak.
We are indeed seeking all sorts, male, women, couples, both or neither, but ... as a guiding principle, we seek attractive, fit people under 40.
This is only a GUIDING principle, and exceptions can and will be made. 
I should point out that this is likely the end of my current run of hosting duties. Elegant Ecstacy is great fun, but time and cost consuming.
With the failure of the July gig, and the seemingly endless "hosts" and "events" springing up, we feel that we have earned a well deserved rest!!
So, if some of you out there would like to experience the legendary EE hospitality, then this is likely your last chance.
I have no doubt I'll be back... but I'm treating this as my proverbial swan song. And cause I'm a huge nerd and like vampires, it's a vampire party.

But with an age restriction of under 40 your target audience are either busy in Ibiza or minding babies or perhaps making them. So I guess its up to us ugoldies to carry on the Fab fun. I come on, advertise an event, state the desired attributes/loose criteria for guests - and people get pissy as hell!
By my own admission, I'm a swinging snob - I don't do it often. It's an occasion for me rather than a lifestyle. I don't fuck around every weekend.
The original germ behind these events was myself & another couple having chats about KK parties after attending one & feeling we could offer more for less. So we did. We also took on KKs original selling point of "exclusivity". There are MULTIPLE events which offer no such restrictions; RVC, Envy, Vanilla. All fantastic options.
Keeping a tight control on the guest list helps reduce the risk for said guests... and frankly, it's a sex site people, we're in search of the conventionally attractive because that's what most people want.
I don't seek to upset or offend anyone, I just seek to put on a good night... and, in my humble opinion, a good evening depends on a solid mix of "regular" guests, and some new blood...
Hence the forum posts!
Admittedly my heckles get raised when unfair accusations are levelled towards me... or when I perceive same, but that's my character flaw.

Regrettably, some events just don't "gel".
For years I heard women advocate for a "Domme" party or a lady only party - I began work on that one and it fell apart. I also had a gig booked into a castle which also got scundered due to someone snitching on the nature of the event to the owners - that particular event was only saved by the timely & generous intervention by another pair of beautiful Fabbers, there's been Covid... and I've had to cancel once for personal reasons.
These things happen. As you've already mentioned; summer is a difficult time to recruit, especially if you're a snob like myself!
I don't worry or take too much offence at the negativity - I'm at this a LONG time and have seen many a day tripper and bully come and go - those who know me know that I do my absolute best to ensure people have a good time.
Am I perfect? Fuck no. I'm human and my career is not remotely event related!
