Is it just me or is this happening to others? I had a meet arranged recently with a lady and she never showed, had been chatting for ages arranged a meet for some fun and never showed up

It happened to me a couple of weeks ago when I was chatting to a woman, arranged a hotel but when it came to the day not only did she not show up but also stopped replying to my messages and stopped answering my phone calls without any reason. Funny enough though I messaged her on another number pretending to be someone else and she blocked it but hasnt blocked my main number

There could well be a valid explanation...

Her phone may have broken or melted.

She may have fallen into a drain.

She may have stepped on a stray sod.

She may have been going down for a look at the Titanic

Her dog may have eaten her homework, or even her leg.

She may have just died.

The above are just some that you may not have considered.. There are other possibilities floating around in my head but maybe they should stay there

Loads of no show's, I accommodate and guys just dissapear, then a few weeks later I get a greeting from a new account, same lads again. Thinking I don't remember them. The charm and over compensated compliments are a dead give away or the ??? If you don't answer their mail in minutes. Effing wasters

It does happen, more so lately I am hearing it. I myself have been blown off recently. Was told to meet in the city and drove up, then told it wouldn’t be for hours, then nothing for hours and hours until I gave up and said have fun then got told a silly excuse. We been talking for weeks.. alas, just think of it this way, they missed out! My regular play partner came over the next day and I fucked her brains out

Always try to arrange half way with folks so you don’t miss out and never book a hotel on your own, go halves. Had a girl last year who I met up with a few times, even had sex in my car (spontaneous tbh) cancel last minute for a hotel that I booked and paid for.. fun times

I'm sure that is a worry if she hasn't been online since. Hopefully she is okay. She may have a genuine excuse if she normally is online and hasn't been since.

Anyone who just ghosts is cowardly. It doesn't take more than a few seconds to send a message to say they aren't going to show. Even if they block after to just ghost and not show up is low.They can always block straight away after they send it. But to waste other peoples time just because they can is pure gobshite behaviour. I've been lucky enough to hasn't happened to me (Bo) but I've seen so many posts from people who have it happen to them and it must be horrible.

Some people are rude unfortunately. I had a hotel booked to have mfm and one of the guys didn't show up. I had met him 2 days previous, I stupidly verified him (which I think is all he wanted as he had no verifications yet) and then he didn't turn up for the mfm. Made the most of it and had a great night regardless!

Continued to chat but on the date arranged I could see that my messages were read but no replies. No show from her and too late to cancel the room booking (you all know how expensive hotels are in Dublin right now), she went unlos, but reactivated her account the next day but has me blocked. No response or explanation received.

This is why stopped meeting in hotels. Happened to me twice just before the pandemic, loss hotel money!

It's either we meet socially first to get to know each other before I invite you back to my place; or we meet at club night. Otherwise you will have to book the hotel on your own and then invite me over.

We had a small few no shows for threesomes. We just accept it as part of fab life. And try to chat extensively before hand to minimise but we are of the view it happens as all sorts of reasons why a very personal activity like swinging is never going to be straightforward. Our only real problem was at Easter when after chatting on WhatsApp to a guy on our sex phone I said chat next week but we then went on an trip at short notice forgot and left that phone behind to come back to threatening messages from him. It was a casual chat next week not a commitment but he took exception. Ce La vie.
