I would imagine there is some. Easy enough to hire a boat out and spend the weekend on it making a few stops

Did this in a previous life, it would be perfect for a long, lazy fab meet!! Ideal!

Any takers

We’ve just got a boat too and the first thing that crossed our mind was how many of the boaters are swingers ??

Wouldn’t like to have to hire a boat. Over €400 a night with a minimum hire of 5 nights!!!!!

Didn’t realise it’s that expensive. But if you have a boat happy days.

Maybe if a few more on here have boats it could be a good group to set up

South Side.

Tantra massage on board is popular with some sailors. If you're anywhere between Carrick on Shannon and Banagher, and interested in having a Tantra massage on board, or while cruising, , give me a shout.

City centre/Naas

The whole long boat canal scene is booming, great to see. Fantastic to see all the boats along the canal here.

Boat hire on the Shannon is very expensive. Was up in Carrick recently and got prices for a long weekend,Thurs to Sunday night. Works out its cheaper to go to Paris for weekend!!!

Late getting my boat in the water this year, but yes there is lots of fun to be had on the Shannon. We need to organise a good raft-up

I reckon a raft up social would be a great start. Maybe meet up at a marina someplace.

Yeah we were a bit shocked at the prices when we looked into it. We cruised the Canal De Midi in south of France a few years ago and wanted to try one closer to home. Prices were mad, you'd maybe be OK splitting the cost with friends, but we decided it was a bit steep just for the two of us.

Currently sitting in our cruiser looking out at the lightening listening to the thunder and pouring rain. Making us a bit horny tho. Lol Going back to original question. We’re on the river years and haven’t seen much. PDI for that.

Ah ye lucky two... nothing better!

This thread has highlighted an opportunity and got me thinking us fab / shannon boat owners could do with getting to know eachother and having a few get togethers... we are a very social bunch after all with a common interest or two

Sounds like we may be on to something here. Definitely a good opportunity to start a group with Shannon boating interests. We’d definitely be interested. We don’t have a yacht by any means but it’s not the size of your boat but the motion of the ocean or river lol.

I have a bow rider speed boat.

Yes it would be a great idea to set up a group.

Let fellow boats owners all link up..

There was talk years ago of hiring a cruiser. Lots of interest, and then it died

Think we may have replied to the wrong post. Did not check as I was replying nor notice that some of the posts were not very recent. Back on Shannon this weekend but heading South probably be in Shannonbridge Sunday. Not actually planning to go on rally. Interest in a Fab Shannon group was main point
