" Bicyclists that take a whole lane on the road and kids/people with electric scooters..." There's a good reason for doing that, as it's to stop drivers from squeezing past them while meeting oncoming traffic, thereby putting the cyclist in even greater danger.

It doesn't matter that you haven't seen it, it happens regularly. I grew up cycling in a place where there were no cycle lanes so what was I supposed to do, cycle in the fields? Walk? I cycled around Dublin city centre for years, with cars actually bumping me off the road more than once, people opening doors in front of me, throwing stuff out of windows, etc. I rarely cycle anymore but I've used the cycle lanes around Lucan plenty of times in the past and they really are a danger. I can fully understand why cyclists don't want to use them. Build quality cycle lanes that don't have pedestrians or all the shit and debris from the road on them and cyclists will use them.

" Maybe it's the way how those pay at the pump work. You choose an amount ie 30quid, you shovel the nozzle into the hole, at beginning it flows in full strength, gargling away until you nearly hit your maximum, then it slows down automatically just to get a bit more enjoymentout of those last few drops, then you shake the nozzle to get the last drop out and back it goes into its place, press the button and you get a receipt that you've done it on the dot! Surely that deserves a treat from the shop!

Oh look everyone knows there are plenty of cyclists who deliberately stay out more than necessary just to make the point that they can (total ego trippin cunts) and it actually makes it far more dangerous for them to be overtake (stupid muppets) Thankfully there are more cyclists who keep in out of mutual respect and cop on ... sound

Yeah, you'd think they'd just go into the field for you. Bastards. The problem is that even ten minutes lost shouldn't have a negative effect on your day. Feel free to concentrate your outrage on the most vulnerable road users rather than your own ability to cope with a slight delay. Its not an inability to cope with a slight delay ... it an unwillingness to tolerate an unnecessary delay put apon you by someone's ego That you think the only reason a cyclist goes out on the road is because of their ego says more about you than it does about them. That would be comical if it really wasn't so tragic. " Mick re read before you take your attitude out on me ... you want to make out I'm talking about all cyclists in general to weaken my point because you can't strengthen your own .. Go back and read again . And then come back with something worth saying instead of trying to belittle me and making a fool of yourself in the process.

" Bicyclists that take a whole lane on the road and kids/people with electric scooters... There's a good reason for doing that, as it's to stop drivers from squeezing past them while meeting oncoming traffic, thereby putting the cyclist in even greater danger. That's why you have the bike lane, you don't pay tax or insurance, yet you are takin up the road because you don't want to use the bike lane... You say that as if there were cycle lanes everywhere, and as if cycle lanes were all of even reasonable quality. I'm happy enough to say that the cycle lanes that were thrown in during the late celtic tiger era were universally of abysmal quality and you'd be safer cycling in the middle of the road naked with no sun protection on a sunny day while eating cigarettes and chewing on a piece of asbestos As funny as that example was, I still don't agree, wanna go for a cycle ,put your bike on the bike rack, and go cycle somewhere where you can do it safely and don't have to create chaos in traffic, especially at hours when people have to bring their kids to school or going to work... As far as the drivers squeezing by them, for as long as I've been driving here, I haven't seen a car squeezing by a cyclist, always seen the cars going on the other lane to pass them just to be at a safe distance " Driver entitlement!. Who knew tarmac would be renamed SUV only PS. My whole family cycle everywhere when they can. 3 generations on bikes. As is their right. The law of the land. Beep Beep.

Cyclists can cycle two abreast but under Article 47 of the Road Traffic (Traffic and Parking) 1997 Regulations (as substituted by the 2012 Regulations), you must not cycle more than two abreast, except when overtaking and it does not endanger or obstruct other traffic. The law. The only entitlement comes from the cyclist who think they have the god given right to take a whole lane.

I don’t drink coffee but it’s huge around. People going in and buying it in shops. " It's easy enough to make am instant coffee at home at least. It's not the same thing though. Mind you, some of the coffee from the machines isn't all that either.

I have a Nespresso machine that I've used daily for the last seven years. I can't say I have that problem with all the pods tasting the same either as I always find lots of variety. Now, it doesn't beat a really good coffee but it gets me going in the morning all the same. I live in terror of it not working some morning, seeing as it's now seven years old. Have you any decent pods to give away?
