Let down by Single Male

Once again we've been let down by a single male. He made initial contact and messaged a lot. He asked on many occasions for a meet. Finally when we were available we made arrangements only to be ghosted by him. Considering he seemed more than keen we're at a loss to understand why this happens to lots of couples on here. Anyone care to give any insight.

We just put it down to thr thrill of the chase and eventual bottle job when it comes to actually meeting.

It's why we've decided not to bother trying to meet directly through the site any more and will attend parties and socials when we're less busy after summer.

Its happens to lots of couples and single men because they are naive. In most of these situations its not about a person getting cold feet or something suddenly puts them off, it's the simply the case that they never had any intention to meet in the first place.

A younger person? Perhaps he was afraid of your partner getting upset & hitting him a dig? Not being smart you know?

Maybe he’s just simple enough to get off on the thoughts & thrills of it, games are HUGE to people here & control too it’s more of a kink then people think!

Shitty experience for ye but maybe a beer or coffee to kick off hell I dunno even chat on the phone you’ll know fairly quick who’s got a spine & who doesn’t.

Don't take it personally happens so much here. They are the dreamers the tyre kickers the wank bankers who had no intention of meeting. They could also be attached and were never going to meet or just simply love the thrill of the chase. It happened to me 3 times in a row when I first joined few years ago waiting in hotels buy they flaked. I had coffee with all 3 before. It's why I only really meet at events now.

No wonder it's hard for single males with clowns like that.

It happens..

Just have to get on with it and try again with someone and hope it goes better.

Verifications are key for reducing risk of the ‘bottling it’ excuse for a no show, and for screening the fake couple profiles who’ll engage right up to arranging a meet for the sad operator’s fictitious couple characters - the prospect of the catfished couple sitting alone obviously very arousing to him (generally a him).

That's C_€tish, it's cause of ejjits like this that mess it up for the rest of the good once. It's also why so many single guy's on here can't get meet verified, from women or Couples. Sadly we can't blame them for it either.

I'm still looking to be meet verified meself. So when I say I'm going to meetup, I'm seriously going to do my best to be there, cause of shit like this. That said if something dose go wrong I'm also going to do my best to tell the other people I can't make it,ASAP. It's only fair & the right thing to do.

Just take it on the chin & move on, ASAP. We're not all bastards. Hopefully this hasn't put ye off single guy's forever.

Feel your pain, OP. Been there ourselves, and on more than one occasion.

You could write a novel on the potential reasons, but at the end of the day, it wasn’t you, it was him.

Don’t let it get you down. Fuck him and wait for the potential massage shortly where he makes up and excuse and attempts to rekindle then ghost him back. Alternatively, block the MF.

"way too much of that going on and then gives the proper people absolutely no chance really does boil my blood "

I'd say that one of the contributing factors, but not the primary one.

There are men who can't take no for an answer when it comes to fabs.

There are men who lie about their relationship status.

There are men who don't bother of composing a proper text when trying to talk to someone.

There are men that send dick pics as their opening line and there are men that when talking to a couple they don't have respect for the partner of the lady in that said couple.

All these are contributing factors, so it's not just one category of men...

It's sad but it's true, all you have to do is to be patient and respectful

Shooting yourself in the foot is the result .

If I were to play devil's advocate however, Given the amount of bitching and moaning people do about each other on these forums I'd say some guys might worry what will they said about them and figure maybe its best avoid!

Just a thought

The average man on Fab has no idea of the forums. I've given lot of advice over the years including telling them to check out forums for details of events etc. This was absolutely news to them they weren't aware or just never noticed. "

OP Hate hearing that this kind of thing happens..

Some guys would jump at the opportunity to meet but rarely, if not never, get it and then there's guys like this that get it and squander it. Making it very hard for the genuine Single males looking to meet.

And yet I bet most do still meet single guys . A lot gets siad like that as a way of saying no without being blunt and saying they just don't want to meet the person who messages them or that they have chatted to.

Time wasters give the genuine guys a bad name but as many have mentioned it’s the bravado which turns cold once they face the reality of a meet.

There will always be last minute issues but if you were ghosted then it’s pretty obvious what it was

Manchester City Centre

I would strongly suggest organised social events and parties to make initial contact with other singles and couples.

.

There you will only find people who actually made an effort, got off their big comfy sofas, dressed themselves, and drove or got a taxi to the venue with the intention of having fun and building connection with other like-minded people. These cannot be timewasters

.

Seriously, 5 minutes chat in the flesh is worth weeks of futile tedious online chats with faceless characters. Maybe this way you could avoid future disappointments and frustration.

I’ve been let down a few times with no shows and it’s never nice, needless to say I’ve never stood anyone up from here and never would, if people change their mind about meeting at least have the decency to do it in time where the other side can make different plans not just blank them with a no show, it’s so unfair and extremely disrespectful. Sometimes I think it’s the excitement of the chase that really does it for them but just can’t deal with the reality of the physical meeting,

Anyway, I’m a respectful genuine discreet man that won’t let you down if plans are made ,
