Anybody see online, where a guy in Germany or Holland, supposedly fathered 550 children, through sperm donation. The sperm bank has stopped taking donations from him now.

Ya, 100% chance of it happening.

I seen on YouTube, where a couple that were married took an DNA test & turned out to be 3rd cousin's.

So they're about to cross paths somewhere, sometime during their lives.

In a population of almost 85 million? Plus most countries have controls in place to help decrease the minimal risk

if 550 siblings had 3 kids each and they had 3 kids each .... that would mean 1 in every 18,000 people are second cousins

I don't like those odds

If you want to go down that road. Hardly nobody would be on here, as the churches would be over flowing. To the point that in some cases roads would be blocked around the church at certain times.

On a serious note, this prolific donor (of sperm) potentially increases the adverse consequences of conganguinity; if he had been donating to only one clinic, this issue could have been managed, but he was donating to multiple clinics, who until very recently were not aware of his prolific generosity.

There used to be a problem with inbreeding in Ireland until the advent of the bicycle. Seriously!

Inbreeding is a serious issue worldwide within groups and cultures who have intensely insular attitudes to outsiders.

That explains alot about this situation. With him donating to different sperm bank's.

Ya, that's true inbreeding is a big problem world wide.

Sorry lads but I think it’s limited to donating to 10 couples in N Ireland anyway. Not to mention the amount you need to do for about £500, it’s not really worth the effort donating to a clinic.

O right. So we can take it, he wasn't doing it for the money, side of it, so then.

I did it about 3 years ago, a visit a week for 8 weeks. Took months before I got the nod, lots of questionnaires and then tested, invited to spunk in a cup and then they said it was top quality.

Was £35 a visit, was literally blow your beans and out in 15 minutes.

Did a request last year and they said my contributions had helped three couples have a child, two boys and a girl. I didn't do it for the money I just felt it was something I should do.

About 10 minutes of that was waiting in reception, always remember the nurse asking ‘do you know what to do ok? First time she came in to demonstrate the ‘donation vessel’ and I’m standing jeans around my ankles with an erection.

Still feels good, I’ve no regrets.

At 16 they can request my name and at 18 they can request my email and last known address.
