"It happens us all. Sods law is that when we don't have child care or any free time, the person/people you've been waiting to meet will be free! ![]() ![]() Who ever invented Sod's Law should be taken outside with a large baseball bat!!! Always hateful when the best laid plans get scuppered!

"Is this a question on tips for others? Dare I say we r a pretty popular couple … we host socials with regular attendance of 100+ so we’re Well verified. When we get time off we do like to plan a fab night of fun every now and again, and this is the problem! We do of coarse post in the meets section. We provide lots of info. Including where we r and what we’re after. R profile also has this info. We also message people we like and Wink. Alas, once again, this weekend was a flop. Although we got a few messages, the fact that we weren’t looking gents , couldn’t host, nor travel 4hrs or willing to go bareback meant that we simply enjoyed each others company (not a bad complaint). With this in mind, what’s ur tips and advice in regards to setting up a good fun meet with a weeks notice!!? PS this weekends spring fling in Derry is SOLD OUT and set to be fab with 120+ confirmed ![]() Do you think people are a wee bit intimidated? Because you are so popular? I could be completely off base but if I was free I'm not sure i would msg social organiser's under the assumption they had there pick of friends and probably wouldn't be interested in Me. Just a thought, but also this place is feckin tricky to navigate ![]() ![]()

"Might get flak but if they aren't well verified, you are taking a risk that it's a time waster. However even well verified people can be just as difficult. It's hard to say what's the best approach for a meet. I know a good few people now who only meet people they've met before at socials. At the end of the day, if you (anybody on here) offered to meet someone and they stood you up ect, it's their loss, not yours!" I don't agree with you last line at all and never have done on here. How can it be someone's loss if they choose not to accept an offer from someone they have no interest in or anything in common with? You can't lose something you didn't have or weren't looking for in the first place.

Its their loss means 'when you think someone is being stupid for not taking a good opportunity.' If people spend their time messaging to the stage where a meet is arranged and one side doesnt turn up for it.....apart from it being really bad manners... I think the person who was stood up should value themselves enough to know they were the better person and so yes, it could be argued it is the non attendees loss! ![]()

"It happens us all. Sods law is that when we don't have child care or any free time, the person/people you've been waiting to meet will be free! ![]() ![]() Very similar to my own situation. Very rarely I get to meet and when I get the time, the ones I'm keen to meet are busy then when they can meet, I can't get the time. Disheartening it can be. I thought after Christmas everything would have changed but it's the same as last year. Life just soooooooooooo busy ![]()
