"When i grow up ill let ye know "

Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional.

Can't remember what I wanted to be but my life would be a lot different to go back 20 years and know what I know now.

Great description.... Exact same for me, I might have fine tuned it along the way, but my life has took its own path sometimes for better, sometimes for worse, but in a great place now these last few years...

Not a wage or salary sl#ve trapped in a situation where I could be sacked at the whim of incompetent and corrupt management and subjected to a punitive system of PAYE taxation.

One of keys to contentment in life is the freedom to pursue options, at one's own time and of one's own choice.

Almost invariably, I was terminated from every job I voluntarily chose to do in order to gain personal experience of a sector.

South Side.

I wanted to be a sailor, like my uncle. My father didnt approve, so I stayed on land, and choose my second choice. A good teenage decision! Now, looking back with wisdom, I should have been an actor or an artist,it would have suited my nature.

I wanted to be a farmer mainly or something in Agriculture. I spent over 20 year's helping/working on a senior family members farm. While also trying different type job's, none very lucky for me. I was once told that I was to old for a job.

So I'm still looking for it.

As farming system is going against me.

Thinking & trying to go down the Agriculture line now, not fully sure yet.

I never had a dream/goal of being in a certain profession or having a "successful" career.

I've done all sorts in my life, education and work wise...and am currently starting out with something different again.

The one thing I did always want is to be a mother - particularly when I was a child. And that wish/dream in adulthood was put on the long finger - fear being a big factor. The experience of motherhood has been THE most challenging, painful, the most educational and yet THE most rewarding to date.
