How do you know where you are showing up on locations are near me's on fab?

I'm asking because I seem to always get messages from people in a particular location that I'm not near

You can only see who's near and be seen in the who's near if you actually have your location settings and who's near option on Fab turned on.

Otherwise, if you're getting messages from people in a certain location while not either having location on or even being from there as per profile settings, then it's either just coincidence or you might have some loving followers

If you go to your Home screen on your phone, you'll see a little icon of a mobile phone in the top left corner and either "Who's near off" or "who's near on".

Tap the writing, it'll send you into the menu to disable or enable

I wouldn't trust the location thing. I just looked up a fab friend and it says she's 330kms away. She's sitting across the table from me ... But.....it is a big table

That's what I mean. I just don't get it. I've never had my location turned on or who's near me turned on and still loads of people think I'm in the UK and lots of people think I'm in dublin

She doesn't have her location on - you might note that some profiles have a different "look" with regards to how the distance is displayed. The 330km seems to be some kind of default setting when the who's near function is disabled.

I've looked at yours and can see it displayed differently to _itemeagain, for example, who still seems to have who's near disabled, and the "look" of the display of distance is different to yours - just for comparison purposes (not as a profile critique).

I know - himself won't believe me that it exists! And oddly, we've tried this on our single's profiles in the past while spending time together and the closest we apparently were is half a mile

Yet, with profiles in touching distance I've been alone in the house

Both of us switched it on just to see. Mine said 330Km and hers said 18km. We're clearly not on the same level

If you had looked at her profile before location was turned on (or vice versa) and changed that setting after viewing the others profile, you would need to give the site a few minutes to update this real time location AND allow the profile page to update location accordingly also.

Or maybe that's just me spoofing

South Side.

It depends on where fab thinks your phone is located. My laptop is convinced I'm always in Dublin, my phone seems to think im in my last location.. It seems to take a while to realise I've moved.

The site takes the last location and stores it if you turn urs on and the lady across the table has hers on it will take a moment or ten to re-adjust

I have being balls deep and it showed us 330 miles away
