Some Sti might not present for few months. So for example you have sex and two weeks later you take a Sti test not everything will come up on those tests that early. So if you hadn't had sex for six months then tested most Sti will have presented in tests by then. Regular testing is just a good habit to get into anyway | |||

As you mentionned regular testing is a good habit (i get tested every 4 weeks, i am very sexually active though) | |||

It’s best practice when screening for some STDs, and I’m thinking especially of HIV here, to repeat the test 3-4 months afterwards. | |||
