Elvis. I was a member of the UK fanclub in the 70s and got a monthly magazine with various gifts.

I also own an original copy of the GI Blues album which is not in its original sleeve but is in the cover of another album released around the same time. They were both used by my grandfather when he was repairing radios, TVs and old record players and they got mixed up.

Karen Carpenter was truly stunning before her health began to deteriorate as a result of following an unusual dietary regime that caused her death in 1983.

She was a fantastically talented singer, who died tragically young, in her early thirties.

She had been following a special dietary regime devised by (I think) Dr. Stillman, that developed into the disorder known as Anorexia Nervosa with related sequelae.
