So all ready for a sexy meet, new sheets, candles lit, prosecco on ice, bed restraints on and toys all charged and snow calls it off! Now personally I would have used a snow plough to get here but made me think what excuses have u had at last minute for a cancelled meet or no show.

Sat in a bar for an hour for one guy. No text no contact. A few wks later messaged saying he had a few pints earlier in the day and had fallen asleep.

Was supposed to meet another guy fir drinks one night,texted me after 11 to say he'd had a few with the boys , did I want to meet him than.

I was on the way to meet a woman in Waterford

Was a bit early so pulled into a car showroom to look at buying a car ....opening hours showed it closed at 7 o clock.

While looking at the cars the staff didn't notice me and locked up and went home at 6.15

Had to ring the Gardai to explain that I was locked in and ask them to ring the keyholder who was at home....they roared laughing at me.

Took 2 hours to get out

Too embarrassed to admit what happened so I lied to the woman I was meeting .....told her the truth when we eventually met up

About this time a few years ago, my 2nd ever meet on Fab, i had to cancel because of heavy snow. We had met at my place 1st time, and the return visit was to be at hers. I wasn't horny enough to drive 100 km in a snowstorm.

Arranged a morning meet with someone I’d met for coffee. The day before another woman (I’d also met socially) messages me to say she was free and would I like to meet the following afternoon. I declined as I already had something arranged (two meets in day??)

That night meet 1 messages to say she had a migraine or work or something and wouldn’t be able to make the next morning…..

I didn’t think it would be good form to see if the other option was still open

Was cancelled on (by someone I subsequently met) when almost at Portlaoise. I had 2 minutes to get onto that hotel site and avail of the free cancellation

The one time I actually got a meet I got caught in work. I work in retail and one of our best customers walked in near closing and he is my customer but the lady in question though I was spoofing and blocked me. As they say Murphys law what can go wrong will go wrong

With kids, it would only be a last min family emergency or something completely unavoidable. We're always clear that family first. If we make arrangements we stuck to them, but we also extended the same understanding to those with regard to family matters.

Never had a no show. Most of my social/coffee meets were good, some great. A few, I kinda knew beforehand would go nowhere but went anyway as you never know, sexual chemistry can surprise you when you least expect it!

The only time I ever cancelled was if something family or work related happened and always as soon as I knew.

I did cancel a coffee meet for today as the weather was so unpredictable but its rearranged for next week.

Thats fair, and look it depends on context. But there are certainly situations in work where I would absolutely have to prioritise over meets and tbh I'd be pissed at potential meet that didn't understand that

you won't be in business very long with that attitude customers come first and my livelihood is a hell of a lot more important than a meet. The only people with your kind of attitude are dole merchants
