Depends what yer after.they can be very entertaining,fun,raucous,titillating,erotic.some people go thinking it's gonna be like a strip show.when it's more to do with the tease and suspense rather than the end goal of seeing someone naked like ya would at a strip club.

Burlesque shows are great, used to go all the time. Really fun crowds and the performances are often a lot more imaginative than you'd assume. I'd recommend going.

Been to one a few years ago with a friend and we had a great night, especially when one of the performers had nipple tassles that looked like my earrings
