Traditionally, Wednesday (Galway Plate) and Thursday (Guinness Hurlde & Ladies Day) were the main racing days.

But in recent years the main days are Thursday and Friday.

Friday in particular for locals!

Friday or Wednesday are definitely the best days, Thursday(ladies day) is full of d*unk young lads and girls and very messy in the city afterwards, we used always go on ladies day but have gone on the Fridays for the last 5 or 6 years much better craic

Ya, Thursday is full of the Insta-gowls, scuttered young ones dressed up but falling down, and the peaky blinder brigade!

Staying in the course after can be good craic too, always live music!

Love the Monday evening myself!

Ya the music after the races is brilliant some great bands and your avoiding the queues for the buses back into the city.

Last time we went on a Thurs we got to the course around half 12 and the men went to the bar while the wives went to the toilet where they had to call security to help a girl who was out of it d*unk in a cubicle. That was our last Ladies day

A lot of people don't realise there's live music after the races but there can be some brilliant bands on with loads of dancing and no queues for the bars.

You should definitely visit for a nite but unfortunately accommodation will prob be a big expense if even available
