Are certain jobs more attractive to people? The stereotypical pilot/firefighter/soldier heart throb. This still a thing or is it just a made up rule?

Squaddies - no

Firemen - no

Police - no

Teacher - no

Doctor - no

Labourer of any kind in Snickers etc - yes, Hottie McHottie alert.... if they aren't of the neanderthal gob'by kind.

It's the being capable and having life skills that turns me on not the trousers. Love a guy who has skills. And rough hands. And muscles from labouring as opposed to a gym....

I wore a uniform in my last job.

Glad to be rid of it.

Admittedly there were some options that were quite sexy and very air stewardess-like but other parts were hideous

Special dark glasses...they can't see me perving .....that and the coffee machine in Applegreen is not the same colour

Northern Ireland, mid 80s - where my best friend lived there were regular army patrols & we always made them tea, coffee along with a biscuit. We got particularly friendly with a young Liverpudlian soldier. My friend and I were both all a-flutter over him but it was clear he only had eyes for her, much to my annoyance. Anyway, the time for their posting was coming to an end and one evening we were watching TV in her house when there was a knock at the door. Her mum answered it and called my friend to the door. Joined at the hip as we were, I went with her. Standing at the door holding a bunch of flowers was this scrawny, y looking boy with dreadful hair and even worse dress sense. We're both looking at him wondering who the hell it was...until he started to speaking in a thick Liverpudlian accent and the penny dropped

To say our ardour was immediately cooled was an understatement!
