Following on from my last post about the next James Bond who was your favourite Bond . For me it's hard to choose between Roger Moore and Sean Connery.

Roger Moore not as believable as the action spy definitely Sean Connery was more believable as smooth suave gent and capable of holding his own

Dalton and Craig are the closest to Flemings original idea of Bond. Connery gets most of the votes for being the first but none of the others even come close.

I’ve always said Connery, but, honestly, when I forget sentimentality, it has to be Craig. Theres the physicality, the pain and personality he brought to the role but he could also time a one-liner perfectly and treated it like an acting job, rather than an extension of his own personality (which most of his predecessors did). He’s gonna be one hard job to follow.

No, his Casino Royale came in 1967, some years after Connery’s first. Perhaps you’re thinking of the 1950s American tv version of CR, which had Barry Nelson as an American Bond (with a British “Clarence Leiter” - they must’ve felt “Felix” didn’t sound British).

Mine is Sean Connery with Roger Moore in 2nd place.

I would suggest that a person's favourite bond actor is probably the one who was in that role when the person was in their early teenage years.

I thought George Lazenby from Australia was quite good, but he made so many enemies within Eon Pdns, that the two producers didn't want him to return.

I have never seen Daniel Craig; Dalton and Brosnan were equally forgettable.

Connery had style, class and the right physique despite being a Scottish thug who could act!

The Living Daylights and Lincense to Kill were both excellent movies, some of the best Bonds and Dalton was sorely underrated. License to kill was a proper action movie. Going from that to the cheese fluff with Pierce Brosnan was terrible.

Portadown

Timothy Dalton because of his closeness to Ian Fleming's depiction of Bond.
