Well, practicing gratitude for the little things definitely makes it easier to accept that a lotto win is unlikely for most... However, as they say, if you aren't in, you can't win.

It's been one of those weeks, month even, in fact, make that the whole start of the year...sigh...

Looking at the positive - got my living room painted, thanks to himself helping, otherwise I'd still be at it.

Unfortunately it's been topped off with my daughter getting sick after an already acute crisis, I got cystitis and now my washing machine, Thumbelina, has finally crapped itself, with a load of wet laundry trapped inside - can't get the door open as the mechanism broke and there seems nothing I can do about it

And I missed pancake feckin Tuesday !

I think I'd just like to fast forward to next year, please

Oh, aren't you lucky to be having such a lovely week? Good for you! Oh, Thursday again, it seems to be the day of the week for surprises, going by this thread.

Oh, yes, I haven't shared. Actually, I have had a tough week/10 days, so not the best. However, creating & reading through this thread has been a highlight and, funnily enough, like you, I had a heartening Thursday eve. An unexpectedly real conversation, after a difficult day.

I chose a teal kind of colour and absolutely love it! Now I just have to organise the finishing touches

And I just managed to sort out my washing machine - all by myself without help from anyone bar a YouTube video! And that makes my success even sweeter .

Thank you for your well wishes. I'm usually more upbeat and even though things have been tough, there's always light at the end of the tunnel and lots of positive things are coming from bad situations.
