Tipp, Clare,

Why are people more comfortable sharing face pics on kik? ( Don't have snapchat)

Surely fab is more secure as you can delete them straight away!? We are new... any tips welcome!!?

Agree that kik seems less secure than here.

Don't get why some swear by it. I've been no help sorry op

I never share face pics anymore as I had an experience years ago with a stalker who made my life very difficult for a while.

Now as a single male, it's extremely harder to meet people without sharing a face pic but going on my past experience I don't share anymore.

Every pic sent can be screenshot anyway no matter what app you use.

Secure for what, though?

If you share, you share. What platform anybody uses is irrelevant. Pics can always be downloaded or screenshot!

Telegram is the safest. Disappearing messages, it tells you if they screenshot (so trust is gauged straight away) and you don’t need to give your number, you can give your telegram handle

I'll share a facepic if I want to progress a chat.

My only worry in life is if my kids would be ashamed or embarrassed by anything I were to do.

That's why I have never and will never post pics of anything you'd not see on a beach or similar.

I'm not here doing or posting about pulling a train or a greedy girls night or gangbangs or anything they would find difficult to know.

They know I'm dating so a face pic going astray wouldn't in itself blow up their lives. Peers can be toxic and I'd never bring that down on them

It'd take some next level twisting and digital mischief to make anything salacious out of my fab or online dating activity.

And that's how I sleep at night.

We all draw our own lines. That's mine.

Yep like WhatsApp or signal - another good one- but I prefer telegram cause I can lock it with a passcode in case someone grabs my phone

I never understood the logic in that either!

Surely it's better to be able to delete a photo whenever you want rather than have a whole separate conversation on a completely different platform.

I've been bl@ckmailed before by some sour cunt who recognised me from my photos when I wasn't showing my face, so I decided to own it and just have my face pic out in public. Not one person has tried to threaten me in any way since. One rule we both go by is:

We absolutely never post naked photos with our face in it.

It's either fully clothed with face in public or naked/half naked with no face on show.

If you can see it you can save it. There are ways around the warnings that some apps have around screenshotting. No apps are safe.

As already said the best idea is to show body OR face in an image, but not both.. either that or go full out. No-one can threaten you for what everyone already knows

Kik has the live pic feature which is why a lot of people like to use it for verifying face pics.

KIK is shite but the other version blue kik is handy, basically the same app, just runs a lot better, and you can log in with your normal kik details.

We use blue kik and telegram.

I found out recently you can use a app to fake live pics on Kik. A catfish tried it on my it was so damn convincing. So ask for them to blow kiss etc to prove it's real

Yeah before we knew about fake live pics there was some blond bombshell sending us nudes. It was all good and well until she sent one pic smooth shaved then a full bush 10mins later. All marked as "live" pics.. whenever I asked if "she" had any photos of herself she blocked us

Yea I agree there's alot more to attraction than just looks, but there does need to be a bit of a physical attraction there. The fear for me of doing a blind coffee meet is, what happens if there's no attraction.... that awkward conversation you have to have afterwards... it must be very unpleasant I know that this could probably still happen even with face pics but I'd say a bit less likely!?

I don't have facepics on here and don't share them ever.

If that doesn't suit others I'm ok with that.

I posted on a thread like this last year and 6 different women had also posted up to that point.

I had met 4 of them either individually or at a social and only knew one of their actual names.

I also knew what the other two women looked like despite never meeting them, chatting to them or even fabbing one of their pics because another fabber decided one day to send me their facepics and full names out of the blue.

She had met them 2 years previously and screenshotted their messages and pics.

They were accompanied with comments such as, this is what that ugly cow looks like in case you were curious.

Yet when they tag each other in forum posts it's as if they are besties.

I'm positive that she has also shared my facepic with them and others so I refuse to give anyone further ammunition.

I don't have that fear because I don't treat every social as a step towards play and I chat to people for weeks and even months before agreeing to meet.

It has never failed me in so much as I've never had a no show and because we've already been chatting for a while the conversation is never awkward so if there is no physical attraction it doesn't really matter because I've had a conversation with someone new and we move on.

Is it an awkward conversation afterwards? Is that not based on the .indset pre meeting?

I treat it like an actual tea break with company for a chat and nothing more expected, BUT if it leads to anything more thats the cherry on top

Probably because the pic is only then associated with kik, as opposed to be being directly associated with a fuck site. In case the recipient had nefarious intentions of outing someone

Hand on heart, it's far more to do with the chemistry upon meeting for us than how they look but I'm sure others think differently.

Forgot to add ... there is no obligation to give a yes or no answer after the coffee meet. So if you are on the fence, maybe suggest you meet for another coffee somewhere down the road. Sometimes we find we warm to people the more we get to know them, as the connection and friendship grows.

Made that mistake a few times when we were newbies … turned up to parties without asking for face pics/guest list … terrible idea lol learned fast with that one !

Our free time is very limited so we no longer go to blind parties where we don't know anybody. We would only go if we knew (and liked) at least one other couple going. So that helps to reduce the above risk.

Surely fab is more secure as you can delete them straight away!? We are new... any tips welcome!!?

Probably because the pic is only then associated with kik, as opposed to be being directly associated with a fuck site. In case the recipient had nefarious intentions of outing someone"

This and probably because kik had once a photo bomb option (not anymore), when fab didn't have the delete option of directly messaged pics. And as humans are creatures of habits they stick with kik despite it has lost its photo bomb option.

Non site supporters- they get deleted after 3 days.

On kik when you delete it - it only deletes from your chat. Other person/people can still see it.

Don’t ever use a pic you used on a social media platform, reverse image search is a thing.

I always send face pics, although I never do when I’m back visiting home.

Snap is quite good however, once they view your pic it disappears. Definitely more discreet than here and a lot of other apps.

People are/were vert careful about sharing face pictures on the Fabs platform because the images had the Fabswingers watermark added to the bottom of the uploaded images and linking them to the site. Therefore other messaging apps that did not use a phone number were used to get around this. The last time I was on here I sent pictures direct on a message but I think the watermark was still added. Can anyone verify if this still happens? It would be good if this was removed.

But even using apps that delete images after a few seconds or have screen grabs disabled, there are ways around it which I am sure people use. No point in mentioning here for obvious reasons.

Most important rule is don't send a compromising image with your face clearly visible in it. And if you do not want your face linked with Fabs, send via a different messaging app that allows for 'plausible deniability' if you know what I mean. And as a previous poster mentioned, if you share it then it can be copied via some method.

It is mad to me that people on here still use kik over Snapchat. Like snap is the best for trading face pics and is more secure haha. You can send a face pic and have it disappear that’s perfect ! Literally perfect for what we’re all trying by to do on here.

People will say they’re discreet on here and be very protective of their face pics only to send them to me on kik. Thanks now I have your face pic forever and you don’t know if I’ve screen shotted it, down loaded it or anything ! (Snap chat notifies you when people do that)

There are enough bad actors who are determined to do bad things here (and elsewhere on the jnterenet) that you have to assume that stuff WILL be recorded. There have been many many cases where people thought they were safe, only to find out later that they weren't.

I think people are getting confused with security and privacy.

Security is related to not getting your account hacked and pictures downloaded or the image/data that is being sent from A to B being intercepted by a 'man in the middle' hacker.

Privacy is related not having your face pic linked to a swing site because of a watermark. That is why people use kick.

Security (in this example) is how secure the systems you are using are. That means how easy it is to defeat the systems intended for securing your data. In the case of snapchat this is trivial using software that comes with many phones.

Privacy is your right to keep your private stuff private.

A beach in security can lead to a breach in privacy.

Nothing is secure and nothing is private online for anyone.

I try to avoid giving face pics because there are a few people out there who will go out of their way to find out where you work and try use the situation against you.

If trying to keep your stuff private, then don't send face pics.

Arrange to meet somewhere public. If the other person is keen, they will.

I 100% agree to the point that “if you can see it you can save it”…using external screen capture/recording apps or by using 2nd mobile or camera.

It’s been a month since I joined Fab.

I work from home all week and it’s really a great relief and catharsis for me to meet like minded folks during the weekend. So on my first week I was delighted and went for a social and I met few lovely fabbers. Then wIth the fabbers verifications I was able to get the spotlight and able to earn the trust from fellow genuine fabbers.

Things were lovely and no complaints until last week . On Wednesday there was this new woman profile I have texted gave the horrified experience and I got panicked and deleted my snapchat, Instagram, Facebook and Skype.

They tricked me and the trick they used was fake live video in Skype and they communicated with fake photos via Instagram and Snapchat. Once they recorded the video they started to threaten(BM) me for money and that’s effing sick.

TBH this was the 4th incident. In the first 3 I was smart to identify the fraud and I immediately blocked them. I am one horny idiot got slipped in the seductive bait. LOL

Now, for my peace of mind I have hidden my profile in Fab.

The only reason, why I am still hanging here is the “Forum” - Ireland. I find people here are expressive, intellectual, kind, funny and more human.

And I have decided to stick with Social and Party…to meet real people and make connections in real life and not in virtual shite.

I strongly believe that we are all here to celebrate the gift of nature - pleasure and happiness. Also this is the one space/lifestyle that is completely deviant from the mainstream conservative society.

Safe Fabbing and lets together continue the healthy vibe Xx
