Just an excuse for shops to charge ridiculous amounts of money for flowers/roses that are a quarter of the price the rest of year and that wither away within 2 days. Bad enough there are easter eggs in the shops already

I was never big into it anyway but it's my first Valentine's single since I was about 16 and I have a hotel for work reasons qnyway. Was just curious if anyone else was in the same boat and wanted to meet up for a drink/chat XD

Yea sure, it's all commercialised and tacky now but the spirit of the day lives. It's about making someone you like feel good, feel wanted and dare I say, less alone.
