Blue Monday

Apparently, today is the worst day of the year for relationships as New Year's Resolutions to end unhappy relationships are put in to place. I didn't know it until years after but I myself asked for a divorce on a Blue Monday. Divorce experts reckon it's the mixture of seeing each other too much over Christmas the financial pressures and for some they want a fresh start in the New Year.

I hear that every year, turns out it is just a marketing scam to trick people into buying gifts to help cheer them up(falsely of course) as the trick makes you think you feel a bit down

Yes, I would imagine there is a link between Black Friday and Black Monday.... more than a hint of the USA way of thinking..

Yes by pychologist Cliff Arnall in 2005. Sky Travel hired him to help figure out when people are most likely to book holiers. He figured out how to calculate the most depressing day of the year. He devised a formula that consists of seven factors like the weather, debt, monthly salary, time elapsed since Christmas and failed New Year's resolutions, motivational levels, and the need to take action.
