After seeing how hopeless that 30 second fireworks display was,and with Westlife attempting to sing,my quetion is this....

Should Ireland and Dublin do it like they do in London, and many other capital cities around the world?

Anyone here remember the big fireworks displays back in the 1990s,where the quays either side of the IFSC would be packed with people watching the huge fireworks display.

Bring back those times.

Are Dublin City Council responsible for organising events like this?

Im not sure who does be in charge of the NYE Dublin events.

Just seems that the capital city has fallen well behind, from how it was, back in the 90's.

The buses would stop at the 5 lamps, thousands of people would walk from here down to the quays.

And then with 2fm or 98fm blairing out loud, the fireworks would begin, with their own music set too.

Proper celebrations back then.
