So what been your up and downs of year

Pros) got my house renovations done at last

Download festivel

Finding a great sushi place lol

Learning that it ok to be single

Cons) being diagnosed with prostate cancer

Sadly losing friends to suicide

My father having a heart attack.

2023 goals......beat cancer....lose weight.....enjoy life more

The Road to Nowhere

Cons: I had an ongoing medical issue for most of 2022 thst saw me lose myself for a bit

Pros: I got an ongoing medical issue sorted & was a big brave girl and got my first general anesthetic

Goals for 2023: get myself back on track in terms of my own well being

I should point out it started in Dec 21 & I had surgery Dec 22 btw lol...same issue!

I don't view my year gone by in "pros and cons" or positives and negatives simply because life is naturally full of ups and downs - and this will be repeated next year, and the one following.

What I do try to do is to make the best out of what life is throwing my way - that is always done easiest with a caring support network.

I surround myself with people I love and care for in the knowledge that they feel the same about me.

With that in mind, I will brace any storm that comes my way in the knowledge that I will come out the other side a better, stronger person.

I do hope that you have a support network and I wish you all the best and every success on your journey OP.

It was just another year, some good some bad but I'm still above ground that's what matters.

Haven't been well since December 21 so many things I took for granted before became impossible.

I used to climb 2 mountains a week without breaking sweat. Only managed 2 in the whole of this year and both were a struggle.

I despise Christmas and everything associated with it because of so many personal losses over the years around this time of year.

This year was no different as I lost a close family member a week before Christmas while another was diagnosed with stomach cancer on Christmas Eve.

So many friends going through their own health issues or with family members going through difficult times.

The only pro for 2022 was the close friends who have been there for me and allowed me to be equally supportive when they were struggling.

As far as the new year is concerned I don't give a fuck because anything has to be an improvement and all I hope for is better health for those who don't deserve the hand they have been given.

I would like to wish everyone a happy new year.

I felt 2022 passed me by, I retired on ill health grounds last August, but so glad I did.

2023 I will make sure I get more MeTime. Everyone has ups and downs, it is what you learn from it. Take care everyone
